They make up what you are not getting in your diet and only complament the diet you already have. Like, if you never eat fruits then you better eat some vitamin C.

| The Lady Of The Manor | I would say certain supplements are worth while taking when you are not lifting such as protein. As you still want to keep protein intake high as your muscles need this to stay strong and fuelled. Also all your mutli-vitamins and minerals are still good to take. Are you just taking a few weeks break or stopping altogether????? Some things are not worth while when not lifting such as creatine - I wouldn't bother personally but everyone is different. |

| Getting HUGE! | Lauren creatine is actually good for health not just muscle see this: Creatine Supplements May Protect Against Brain Damage Researchers have found that rats fed a diet containing the dietary supplement creatine, suffered half as much brain damage after injury as those receiving a normal diet. They also discovered that mice given creatine for five days before a head injury suffered 36% less brain damage. Creatine is widely used by athletes, as it is believed to increase muscle strength and physical endurance. Scientists believe the supplement may prevent the secondary damage seen several days after a traumatic head injury by regulating calcium levels within the brain. Researchers believe that boxers, rugby players, and others at risk from head injury could benefit from the neuroprotective effects of creatine if it is taken under medical supervision. Here is another one http://www.intelihealth.com/IH/ihtPr...=t&k=basePrint cheers! LOL ;) |
