![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Why I use creatine I supplement my Diet with creatine powder, The main reason I do this is because it eliminates post-workout soreness. I was talking with some of my friends and they were saying they don't notice this or feel it has very much effect. Does it do this for anyone else? and does anyone know why? I suffer really badly from post workout pain - even a light session can leave me in agony for 3-4 days but When I am taking creatine I feel absoultely nothing. |

Plus if you are dieting then this is good for keeping you catabolic. Remember if you are dieting then you will need at least 150 grams of protein a day so you dont go catabolic. If you are getting cramps than I would try some potassium and magnesium they are crucial for muscle constriction. Dont take too much potassium as this is not good on the heart.

It has other benificial effects but for some reason, as soon as money gets short, it is the first supp to be dropped for me! Definately use it if you suffer badly, also don't forget your stretching! |

![]() | glutamine is the dogs for that stuff, you can go as far as having 5g in the morning, 5g before training, 5g with your pw shake and 5g before bed. but even 5-10g after training will help recovery loads. the reason for this is that after you have trained the vast majority of amino acids that become depleted from the muscles is L-Glutamine, so replacing this straight away gives you a massive head start in recovering. |

Considering you are in the UK, you can have a look in Holland and Barrett every now and then cos they sometimes have half price L glutamine in their sales. You need to be quick though cos they go back up to full price fairly quick.

![]() | im talking about the powdered version (glutamine) in tubs. 5g is a typical serving of glutamine taken around 3 x ed, if your using the caps you need lots of um! morning because you are startved and depleted, after training for obvious reasons and at night it can be beneficial in raising natural GH levels too |

I think I'll stick to my 1 per day at the mo cos i don't have that much left and it's not cheap. Edit: I heard that you should be best taking it with food, what do you think?
