  | Designer Whey I have just bought some whey protein called Whey Gourmet (raspberry flavour) which cost a lot more than what I had before. Is it cos you pay for the name in the same way that you pay extra for "designer clothes"? I understand that you can get Whey Isolate and concentrate, but what's the difference between Designer Whey Protein and Whey Protein? Is one supposed to be better from a bodybuilding point of view?

| Designer whey is whey protein concentrate with flavouring added and the market it an charge a stupid price. If you switch to unflaoured whey you get jsut protein no crap and you can make it taste how you want and save tonnes of cash www.wheyconsortium.com sell it it 75% protein |

 | whey gourmet is by a company called pvl. You pay more as its supposed to taste better than regular protein. PVL arent actually a 'designer' name over here - they are a canadian brand which have yet to take off in a big way over here. You picked the best flavour by the way! By far the best of the ones I've tried.

| Me either. The raspberry was the sample they first gave me, and the reason why we took the brand on. Bit dissapointed with a couple of the other flavours though.
