My thoughts on supplementation!!

Well I've just completed a course of Trib and ZMA..I have to say I think it was a waste of money.I did not notice any difference while taking the tablets. The only supps that I think are worth the money are Protein and Creatine. The rest in my view is a waste of hard earned money and the supp companies are a real rip off.the only thing that works and really works is steroids...

I dont think you will get an argument out of anyone on the board
I started taking zma for the last 5 days.;) I havn't taken anything. No vitamins, gear, bottled water, Jimmy:p , but not in that order..........lol
The morning wood is stiffer from the zma.
The side affect is supposed to be good sleep.........;)

Well..

Tribulus can vary hugely from brand to brand. It's a product designed to increase test levels to their natural maximum. Thus probably pointless if you are under 25 unless used as part of recovery after a cycle.

ZMA would really only provide a noticeable difference if you were deficient in Zinc/Magnesium to start with. My guess is that you weren't.

I agree with you London.
Although, post cycle I am a hard recovery guy and anything that helps me I will take.
Now there is a good natural product made by Protein Factory called post cycle and I thought that stuff helped my wood.
Post cycle wood is not good. This stuff helps.

Well im not sure unless for PWO if it realy does alot compared to food. I mean alot of the big lads i talk to who have been training for years tell me they dont use it anymore.

Its nothing definate yet but i will probably always use it for PWO and maybe go with food for everyhting else.

Whats your opinion on it Cookie mate?

TBH I dont belive that whey should ever be taken on its own as it raises glucose levels to quickly especially post workout when bloody sugar is lowest and the protein mixers are a far far better option, imo.

I think that's a good idea personally. The only time I use whey is around workout time. Before bed I take in a protein blend, and even then I mix in flax too. Everything else is real food. Lots of carbs and fats too.

I use some egg protein powder and milk protein powder from myprotein.co.uk. I would also put in some casein but they were out of stock when I ordered. I also mix in some of their flax powder. I also put in 1tbsp of flax oil and 1tbsp of cod liver oil.

Mix in water in a blender and drink before bed.

Slow release protein, some fiber from the flax powder and lots of good healthy fats.

Whey is still the daddy for post-workout protein however.
