![]() | What's top dog nowadays? I've been out of the game for a few months and im rearing to get back into it. However the world of supplements is ever changing so i was wondering whats top dog in the creatine and whey protein league at the moment? I used V12 and that stuff was awsome, i tryed a few different whey's and they were of but nothing special (infact i think that whey proteins pretty ****e!) but weight gainers are alright just so long as they give you a ****e load for £25!. Personally I don't reckon there's a huge difference between any major brand of whey, just find one that tastes the best Elite Whey from Dymatize in Butter Cream Toffee fflavour is *supposed* to taste fantastic although I haven't tried it myself yet.The best new(ish) supp available in my opinion is the MRP from SAN called Infusion - Complex carbs, Whey Isolate + Casein + Colostrum + EFA's (Flaxseed + CLA). Also very high in fibre, contains Glutamine peptides and tastes superb. ![]() L

I mix it with oats blended for an MRP. I also cook oats in water and then add Butter Cream Toffee Whey to it and stir. VERY easy and tasty low GI carbs with a protein source. Yes - real food is better, but oats and whey is a pretty good choice IMO. Quote:

The 11g carbs per serving are from ground raw oats - hence the 6g fibre. ![]() L

I do believe that a lot of supplements offer good value for money. For example, a serving of SAN Infusion for breakfast will set you back approx £2 - yet that is still significantly less than a regular Caffe Latte from Starbucks and is an infinately better way to start your day. ![]() L

![]() | Yeah i'de go for all food but creatine generally does wonders for me, i think i'll give V12 turbo a go since V12 was the dogs. Far as whey protein goes i don't particually like it and don't think it helps alot but sometimes if i forget to make a meal or simply can't be ****d then its much easier to mix up a shake i get that down your throat. Tahnks for the responses anyway. |
