When to take creatine?

Right now i'm on my maintenance stage. 5 grams just before workout and 5 grams a few hours after workout! Is this the most effective way plus i mix it with water? Also do you need to take it every day even for example the days your resting? Cheers

yeah 10 grams a day sounds about right, I just started using it a few weeks ago myself and this is how much I've been taking. pretty sure that you're supposed to take it every day during maintenance, though

Thanks for your reply Bryan! Stop taking it as it had no effect on me apart from spots, headache and it made me itch like mad when i workout!

id say 5 gm once a day is enough. id take it straight after a work out and first thing in the morning if its a rest day. id also take it with apple/grape juice (something that contains sugers to get it into your system quicker.

weightman is on a distinguished road
on training days take 5gms creatine 1 1/2 -2 hours before you train, on non training days take 5gms first thing in the morning, cycle this to suit you, but 4-6 weeks on, then 4 weeks off is about right.
