| Administrator | Hmm you join a new board and straight away in your first post you give us a link to your own forum and shop.. There's advertising and then there's advertising. If you post quality info and help people out then by all means have a link in your sig. ![]() L

![]() | Lorian, FYI I do not own the forum, nor the shop. Is is good to know that you noticed the prices on at www.musclechatshop.co.uk are good and perhaps a threat to your business which would provoke such a response. To all the other readers out there here is some useful information from another post: Anyone ever tried unflavoured whey protein? Its vile and in most cases is not instantized, so it is really difficult to mix. The same as unflavoured egg albumen. I looked into this, because one can buy whey protein isolate from volactive http://www.volactive.co.uk/index.html, if I recall correctly it was 90% protein for around £6.50 per kg. Yip is dirt cheap, the catch is you have to buy a ton. But non the less when a flavour house flavours the product and flavouring does not come cheap, that usually almost doubles the price, if they know what they are doing, they usually add the micro-ingredients into the product, like your vitamins, glutamine peptides ect, which make the product more effective and do not add sugars for sweetening. Then there are certain brands of whey protein that come from certain countries, like New Zealand Whey as an example, which is high in lactose and tends to upset ones stomach. I have seen the datasheet on this, one can purchase quatities dirt cheap from NZMP - New Zealand Milk Products. That is why there are so many whey proteins available, especially unflavoured brands which have no quality seal from the factory that are just down-right junk. There again it is a matter of choice. I like the flavoured whey protein concentrate 75% from www.gsn.biz. It great tasting, cheap, imported from Ireland, and is quality seal stamped from the factory. Then there is USN, its whey protein tastes good and comes form Holland. Again, value for money, my choice is the GSN whey protein. |

I would never edit a post or member based simply on the fact it's somehow "a threat" to my business. By the way, silentbob you're banned (joke) Seriously, I have no problem with 'competitors' posting and having links/banners to their own site.Your later post does contain intersting points. Although reposting content from an edited post isnt smart. ![]() L

As for the lactose thing, well, lactose is the slowest burning sugar there is and the reason most people get bad guts from it is (a)they blend their shake and get air in it,and break down the natural fat molicules to such a small state that the body cant digest it properly. (b)they gulp the drink rather than sipping it over a 15-30 minute period, which allows the body to get the internal juices flowing for proper digestion. |

Scared me a little bit there mate... I was skim reading and just spotted my name! I think all the guys who advertise on here are pretty gracious and non competitive to be honest. In the past when someone has asked for a link to buy a product I've posted BSF and protein factory's links, and you've done the same. As one of the board admin, no one could criticise you if you were more strict on other advertisers. Some boards are completely over the top and you have to pay if you even want a link to your site in your signature. Quote:
