Angry Okay, Have I just wasted £25?

I want to gain 22lbs quality mass (10kg), minimal fat. I'm willing to eat bodybuilding style, and work hard.

But here's the problem, I bought a 'Bargain' Mass Gainer, it seemed pretty good, 30g of protein per serving, whey and caesin.
Then it arrives, turns out that each serving is 100g, so its only 30% protein!!

The main ingredient is maltodextrin! I dont know much about maltodextrin, but from what ive heard its basically an additive.

If I use this mass gainer, 2 scoops with water before bed, will I gain muscle, but without gaining fat?

The brand is CNP Professional, and its called Pro-Mass

Re: Okay, Have I just wasted £25?

i use malto pwo only and its in many drinks like cnp and i thin extreme etc. I wouldnt use it before bed as its basically a complex sugar i think so will probably turn to fat so id go for only pwo but thats jmo.

Sounds like a hell of a lot of malto, but CNP is a well respected brand.

Re: Okay, Have I just wasted £25?

Yah, you have not waisted your money, you bought some simple sugars with some whey in it......lol

All weight gainers are is some cheap carbs and protein.
You can make that yourself with a protein shake and a banana, or a few tablespoons of sugar

Re: Okay, Have I just wasted £25?

Yep nothing like high GI carbs to gain weight............... fat that is.

Should do fine for PWO though, I'd add a little more whey to it and make it a 50/50 mixture of carbs and protein.

Try Scitec Volumass 35, its a great lean gainer that comes in a variety of flavours. Agree with the above though.....the muscle fury mass gainer hasnt been out long but is a hit already, especially the banoffe flavour!

well let me first address what you have said.....

I do not push extreme products, when i am asked what i use or when i write a diet out for somebody i use extreme products mainly because i believe in them but yes i am sponsored by them.
now if you could find one post where i have openly and blatantly pushed extreme products as you have done with muscle-fury i would appreciate you pointing it out.......
and no i do not get my supplements for free.....

now i have asked a perfectly good question as i do not know the answer and that is what Carbs they use in there gainer i ask this question as you have said on 2 posts that this gainer is the best you have ever used i would like to know why?? i think that is a decent question....don't you?

I also commented on the fact their ingredients in their breakfast supplement does not tally with the breakdown on their labels, for example the product contains alot of sugar i believe it is 16g per serving yet in the ingredients i cannot see where this sugar comes from...all these are good questions and seeing as you believe they are the best you have used i thought you could answer them for me......

this is a forum for debate so you have to expect questions what i have asked is nothing personnel towards you although i get the impression you have taken it that way and for that i do apologise it was not my intention....

there is not one product on the market which will give you what you want to achieve, 22lbs of quality mass takes years to build even when using steroids...
if i was you i would alter my goals and set them a little more achievable something like gaining 15lbs in the next 12months of quality mass.....and make sure you build your diet around food and not supplements...

From Muscle Fury Website

''The Ultimate Super-quality, high calorie weight gainer, which contains the anabolic growth promoter OPTISORB

Optisorb® improves the absorption of nutrients from food ingested, improved nitrogen retained and utilisation which has been show to increase the potential for greater lean muscle growth and the maturation of hard muscle mass.
To full benefit from this significant potential Mass-fury should become part of your daily routine long term. (for?) a quality supply of Protein and complex Carbohydrates don’t compromise.''

Not wanting to knock another supplement company but if you cant get your spelling and grammar right what hope is there of correct ingredients in the products?

I'd also like to see the studies where Optisorb has been shown to increase the potential for greater lean muscel growth and the maturation of hard muscle mass. They arent referenced anywhere on the site that I can find.
