![]() ![]() | Re: joint supplements I think rest is the best remedy initially, not what you want to hear I know, but I too rcently had a shoulder injury, turned out to be a small tendon tear, thankfully not rotator cuff, for me 5 weeks rest from upper body was the answer, I still trained legs and increased my cardio. I did take a supplement Glucosamine Sulphate, meant to be good for the health of joints, I can't swear it has helped or not, only to say that I am well on the mend now, but when I go heavy it lets me know it's there, Anti inflamatory such as Ibuprofen also help, but IMO can give you a false sense of security which could result in further injury when training. I suggest you go to the docs and let him diagnose you. PS For future reference you should post this in the injury forum, you may then get more replies... Good Luck.... |

![]() | Re: joint supplements there is a few threads in the supplement section on joint care. if its an overtraining type injury rest is best. heat lamps and a holiday somewhere hot (my gfs doc recommended it to elliviate arthritic symptoms) will help. if you know its injured dont antagonise it for a week then look into physio rehab if its not cleared up. how did you hurt it or is it a niggling pain?
