I heard the liquid creatine was all hype.
V12
Fish oils (cheaper)
Glutamine but v12 has that in it.

Maltodextrin + protein powder - yes good choices

Oil blend - yes good choice

glutamine, to be honest unless your feeling flush with the cash I wouldn't bother

As for liquid creatine ... mate just stay clear. I wouldnt even take that if it was being given away free - save your money.

I'd put the money you save on the glutamine and liquid creatine toward buying even more maltodextrin and protein Maybe some regular creatine as well.

Whilst I don't doubt the effectiveness of the next generation creatine products - things like V12 etc - they are pricey and personally I'd just stick with whichever major brand gives you the most for your cash, the Dymatize Creatine is my favourite.

Think of it this way - yes, over a 1 month period you may get slightly better results with something like V12 as opposed regular Creatine .. BUT .. for the cost of 1 months supply of V12 you could buy a 1KG tub of regular Creatine which is enough to last you 5-6 MONTHS .. given the choice of 1 months V12 or 6 months regular Creatine I'd go with the 6 months regular because at the end of it you will have gained a lot more.

Good choice and advice Lorian.
The V12 is not that pricey in the states tho, plus I have the cash to spend.

agree with all of that, liquid creatine is the biggest load odf ****, and as far as im aware, the makers got into trouble with trading strandards. Tests have proven it is TOTALLY useless!

Glutamine is very good stuff, but it isnt cheap, so might in your case robin mate, id leave it as the last thing to buy. Email whey consortium though as they do it for cheap cheap and it is very affordable off them...

hope this helps, and you are well!

Liquid creatine - read this: http://www.supplemen****chdog.com/creatine-serum.shtml - it doesnt actually contain any creatine. Creatine is not stable in liquid for long enough to be sold as a liquid.

Glutamine - only if you can afford it.

Protein - always important

Oil blend - again, only if you can afford it. Personally I didnt gain anything from taking an oil blend, in fact I rate glutamine more highly. If you really have a deficiency in healthy fats, that is when it is of most benefit, but for most people getting enough fat in their diet is not a problem! Even steak etc.. has healthy fats in it.

If your going to use creatine go for a good make and go to your local racing bike shop and get hold of a product called powerbar(carbs, bcaa`s,vits.mins ect) and mix your dose of creatine in with one heaped scoop of that stuff and take 10-20mg vanadyl sulphate before your workout, finish workout and get the creatine mix down asap,a hell of a lot cheaper than these new muscle volumizers and does the same job.

Most good brands all use the same creatine anyway - creapure from the degussa labs in Germany. Reflex, Prolab, etc.. The more well known brands charge more though. USN are pretty cheap for creapure. I read a breakdown of creatine analyses from all the major creatine manufacturers the other day and the degussa labs was by far the top. Their creatine is 99.9% pure - quite a bit higher even than the American manufactured creatines.

leanman is just really niceleanman is just really niceleanman is just really nice
Just to be the one togo against the grain here.....

I would suggest getting whey and micellar casein.....the pennies that you save spend on good old food
Saying this as you say you are getting back into things...maybe use creatine at a later date(perhaps when stuck on a plateau)
When i get my head outta my bumb i will put an article together regarding supplement use......to give you a preview i kinda think its all to easy to grab a tub of this or that etc.
Dont get me wrong im not anti-supps
Sorry for hi-jacking this robin
