Need some questions answered

Hi Folks,

I was taking cyclone for a few weeks, then started on this site and have been reading that it was over priced and crap so have now changed to something new.

I am now taking

Hurricane XS
omega 369
ZMA

I have just ordered BSN Cellmass & NO Xplode.

The thing is I do weights on a Mon-Wed-Fri 1 hour session each excluding Warm up and down

Tues& Thurs = Rugby Practice (1,5 hours intense and physical on both days Lots of running)

Saturday = 40 Min Training and 80Min rugby match.
I do train hard but from my garage it is fully equipped now
My stats are

32years
200lbs
not sure on body fat %( around the waist mainly but not much at all)

My goal at the moment is to gain lean muscle mass and strength.
I dont want to be huge like some of the bodybuilders on here well not yet anyway, more like a mens fitness cover guy

My questions are

Can I take NO X before rugby Training? but not before a Match.
Are the mentioned supplements OK to Start with?
Do you think my Rugby training is to much cardio that is going to slow my building ?
For instance I can drop Tuesdays if need be.
I dont do any other cardio besides my Warm up and down.

Any advise and guidance from experienced people would be greatly appreciated.
Please dont think I have not done research I have and my head is spinning from all nutrition and supplement info but Im still confused so though i would ask.

My diet has changed dramatically and I am now eating 5 meals a day trying to get up to 6, since discovering this site.

Cheers
Julz

Yes you can take NO X before rugby training and if you wanted to you could take it before a match aswell.
Supplements are fine although you don't mention whey or similar protein shake and a multi vit would'nt do any harm. If money is an issue drop the more expensive supps like cellmas for more basic stuff like whey. (make sure you are getting plenty of protein regularly from your food, if nothing else make sure you do this)
Ultimately just doing weights is the best way to build muscles but you obviuosly enjoy rugby (league or union?) so i would'nt worry about it, besides there are pleny of well built rugby players around aren't there and it will help to keep body fat in check.

Unless you are genetically very gifted, its going to be very hard to make any significant gains during the season. Rugby is an aerobic game, despite the modern trend for bigger guys, you're still always going to have to put fitness before mass andd stength, unless its there naturally from the start. I've been there and got the T shirt on this.

If I was you, I'd drop the weights to twice a week - stick with big compund exercises, enjoy your rugby for a few more years and then look at the whole bodybuilding thing afresh when you can commit 100 per cent to it.

Yes you can take NO explode before a match. Don't use it before training though.

Its a natural stimulant I presume from reading about it. You'll get used to it fairly quickly and its effects will then diminish. Also for a training session, its not that essential to be a 100% - so it can be left for the big match day for maximum effect.

I take a multi vit called wellman everyday.

The cellmass and No xplode cost 50quid together for a months supply. or 25 each so is pretty cheap.

Rugby Union by the way.
I will try the NO xplode before a match and before training and let you know how I get on.

I think for now I might drop My Tuesdays training and keep the weights going I might not gain much but will keep my strength up to maximum till the season ends in early April.

Any more opinions??

Thanks for the help so far

Julz

Re: Need some questions answered

Well if it's union don't worry about training, just get your bodyfat higher, if you're a back you'll need it to keep warm from just standing around watching and if you're a forward you will need the extra weight for leaning on each other

Re: Need some questions answered

Here's my considered opinion -

If you are training just the once a week for rugby it must be a pretty low level you are playing at (no offence) and you're 32 so you're no spring chicken rugby wise - you obviously love the weights.

I'd can it altogether for the bodybuilding.

You'd be better of taking that £50 a month you are spending on over hyped supps, and buying a quality protein powder and spending the rest on steak and chicken (or gear if you fancy the dark path).

Re: Need some questions answered

I couldn't give up rugby, even if I just moved to the Vets who never train but play about every 2nd weekend.
Here is my Club http://www.ruisliprugbyclub.co.uk/ it is serious enough but not premiership rugby that's for sure but getting better each year.

I'm far to aggressive and can take that out on the rugby field. legally
The weights have been great for relaxing my aggression and stress.
I feel and look much better

I do take Protein http://www.myprotein.co.uk/formulas/.../hurricane-xs/
