![]() | BCAA's mixed with water It was either on this forum or MP's forum where i read that someone was told that by mixing BCAA powders with water, it actually kills any effect they are meant to have within the body, and so the disscution went on, so i asked my girlfriend who is studying bio-medical science at sunderland university to find out if there was any truth in it, and just to let you's know that mixing BCAA powders with water doesn't change what they are meant to do within the body at all. |

![]() | Re: BCAA's mixed with water i know what your saying that because the body is made up of a high percentage of water and that the queation was, would mixing BCAA powder with water kill them, and so putting it into your body via capsule etc would still kill it, it would't because it would't actually come into any contact with pure water in the body there is all kinds of acids, mucus stomach linnings etc, but the answaer is water does not kill the effects of BCAA's but water does kill off some amino acids when mixed with it, she'll find out which ones and i'll post the results. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: BCAA's mixed with water I honestly couldn't see it hurting mixing it with water as stated earlier as the body is made up of water anyway in the mouth and in the stomach as well thus making them useless all together! However i think that if you eat enough protein throughout the day you shouldn't need to have BCAA's, not saying it wont help but i think that anything like this you should try and get from food, saying that though i do SUPPLEMENT my diet with these just make sure that you ain't using these instead of getting quality protein, same as protein shakes try and get it from solid foods rather than the liquid kind! |

![]() | Re: BCAA's mixed with water you know what though after a few weeks of doing it now it doesn't even bother the taste. have read of some guys mixing the amino powder and drinking it with carbs during training too ala milos sarcev. his theory being that when the blood is pumped to the muscle the carbs will transport the amino's straight to the muscle being worked. now i know this happens anyway but drinking it means its their readily available floating round your system so you won't tap into your body's suplys. i can see where he is coming from with it.
