Caffiene

Hi All,

Been a while since I have posted on UKM. :(

Just a quick question to you all. I go to sleep during the week roughly about 10:30pm. Whats the latest time for me to take coffee before going to bed without it effecting my sleep. I had a few sips of diet coke before I went to bed last night and it realt effected me.

I workouts start at 7pm to 8pm.

Please get back to me on this folks. Your help is needed

Re: Caffiene

My rule is no coffee after 5.

But it really depends on how caffeine affects you and how much caffeine you have during the day.

Re: Caffiene

Depends how much caffeine. If for example you took 200mg I'd not expect you to sleep for a good 4 or 5 hours. All depends one the person - weight, genetics, tolerance etc...

I know on an ECA if I have anything after around 2pm I'm stuffed for getting to sleep til about 11. I try to stay away from caffeine after 1pm (other than coffee and tea which I cut out at 6pm) and eph (on its own) by 4pm to get to sleep by 10:30

i have 2 cups a day. One in the morning when i get into work at 7am. One in the afternoon around 2pm.

I just feel that it could help my fatburning better thats all.

Re: Caffiene

Sod the coffee and have green tea instead. Better fat burning properties and has around half the caffeine I believe.

You must be very sensitive to it for a glass of coke to stop you sleeping IMO.

I also think that training that late might have something to do with it. Do you also have a PWO shake containing simple carbs after training?

Try an ECA stack. No pills after 3.

Re: Caffiene

Well I didnt eat much last night before i went to bed and it did effect my sleep drinking the coke. Ive never had a problem with sleep though until the caffiene is in my system. Its a great fat burner though when added with some cardio.

When added with Eph and a good diet it's even better

I think you're looking too much into it mate - if it continues to happen have a re-think.

Re: Caffiene

To be honest. It doesn't matter how much coffee I drink during the day. As long as I get a shag at night, about 5 mins after i'm sleeping like a baby...

Re: Caffiene

For years I used to have a cuppa around 9.00pm and then off to bed 10.30ish , I never had any problem falling asleep, everyone will react differently to caffeine .
