![]() | Protein Powders - worth it or hype I got a shock today when discovered that the protein powder I usually buy has gone up by over a tenner for a 5kg tub. I'm not a scrooge when it comes to parting with cash, but I don't like to pay over the odds either. So two questions really. 1. Is protein powder worth taking or just over hyped and expensive. I know many of you feel that you can't beat real food, but there is only so much I can pack away during 24 hours! 2. If worth taking, which brand do you recommend and from where? Thanks fellas.

| loving the bulk | Re: Protein Powders - worth it or hype proteins powders are good if your not getting enough protein from food, there only supplements dude, shouldnt be relied upon imo. foods the way forward, why dont you just spend 40quid on steak or chicken instead of tubs of protein |

![]() | Re: Protein Powders - worth it or hype Given the choice I would prefer real food but as Andy said above, I can't eat that much so do need to supplement. Will give myprotein a look, thanks for the tip.

![]() | Re: Protein Powders - worth it or hype I only use it for first thing in the morning, and after my workout, due to its quick acting nature. Use real food everytime, it has its uses, but its no magic potion. You just cannot substitute proper food. |
