myprotein.co.uk will become famous soon enough
Thumbs up Myprotein.co.uk News Update...

Hello all,

A few people have asked me to post up some answers to certain questions as and when they came so I have waited a a week or so and tried to put as much as possible in a "digest" for you so were not "spamming" the boards... If any of this is outside of the rules please let me know, I have edited it so its not as much advertising just information.

--

Firstly thanks to everyone who has supported us in our first few weeks, its been a great start and we hope to improve every week. We can only improve by receiving your suggestions on how to improve. There have been a few excellent suggestions so far and all have been noted or described below. So please contact us with any other suggestions\comments...

Bulk Discount Rates

Due to popular demand we have added the ability for ingredients\supplements to be discounted when a bulk order of that ingredient\supplement is ordered. We are just working out the final pricing so expect products to start appearing with new Bulk Discount rates. We will let you know when certain products are under the "bulk discount" offer, but expect discounts of up-to 55% (!!!) on certain ingredients\supplements when ordered in large quantities.

Our Shipping Charges

We are seriously looking into offering a cheaper\free alternative to our cheapest National P&P rate of £4.99 (1kg - 29kg). This figure is already subsidised by us, but we are considering using a cheaper standard parcel rate for smaller orders (under 2kg). This will reduce the cost of shipping smaller items but will be slower and not be traceable. Other companies who offer "free" shipping merely add the cost onto the products, no shipping is free. We have heard your views on this and are looking into all options...

Better Tasting Proteins

A few people have mentioned that a few of the current stock of proteins don't taste that great. This is because of the extremely high protein levels in these proteins. We personally feel that a high-protein shake is for supplementation not refreshment, but we have just added a new Whey Protein Concentrate 75 (see below) which tastes (with flavouring & sweetener) just like a milkshake. So if you prefer your protein shake to taste really good, as well as work really well, then this could be the one for you. It will also be CHEAPER than the current Whey Protein Concentrate 80.

As all of our current proteins are from a New Zealand diary we are also going to be getting a new WPC80 and Whey Protein Isolate from a well known Euro diary. These do taste better that the NZ proteins (but have a slightly lower protein\aa profile). If you have questions on this matter please just ask...

Whey Protein Concentrate 75 - New Product!

Just to let you all know we will be taking delivery of a new "Whey Protein Concentrate 75" which will be cheaper than the existing Whey Protein Concentrate 80 so you will be able satisfy your protein needs for a even lower price. Due to the lower content of protein (75%) in this whey this is a much better tasting protein that the others. If you add a flavouring & sweetener this will taste as good as a milkshake.

New Countries added for Shipping

We will be adding various new European countries as a possibility to ship to this week. These include: Portugal, Spain, Italy... (plus more...)

Other New Products

We are currently sourcing various new products to add to our list. The ingredients\supplements we are prioritising are:

HMB, Egg protein, Soy Protein, Flax Seed Powder, Multi-vitamins & BCAA.

All these products will be at low low prices. If you feel we should look at other products ahead of these please let us know...

Our Affiliate Scheme

One suggestion in particular was too speed up the development of our "Affiliate Scheme", we have done this and we can now offer you a quick, simple & automated way of joining our affiliates.

You can find out more information by reading here: http://www.myprotein.co.uk/index.cfm...iliate-program

In brief, we offer YOU 7.5% of the total cost of the order which is paid quarterly via PayPal. We are considering introducing a "tiered" percentage rate where ingredients & products that we make a greater profit on have a higher percentage (10% - 15%) and vice versa. Of course we will inform any of our affiliates of any planned changes well in advance.

Everything has been tested and works fine, if you have any questions of how to implement the scheme on your site or any suggestions on the Affiliate Scheme please just contact us via affiliates@myprotein.co.uk or use our contact form on our site.

We will also be implementing the "Affiliate Control Panel" where you can view your earnings online, this will be coming soon.

I hope that answers most of your questions, if you have any other questions please just contact us.

I would disagree with that. Companies who offer free shipping absorb the cost of shipping themselves. When we offer free shipping we absorb the £6 or so that it costs and lose that from our profits. When we charge for shipping we absorb slightly less. The price on stores' website is no different to what they'd charge you in person.

Having said that, might be interested in the affiliate scheme, like your site, and would be interested in what price you'd supply to trade at.
