caffiene

After reading about eca i've decided to go down the eca path. Well, the ec part of it anyway. Is the aspirin side of it really required? If so what does it do and does anyone know where i can get hold of caffiene? Thanks.

Re: caffiene

An 80mg baby aspirin will do the job, or just take half a normal one.

As DB said, avoid Pro Plus, go with the Bulk tabs.

Re: caffiene

The aspirin is required, if memory serves it stops the re-uptake of adrenaline so basically enhances the effect of the C & E, don't quote me on that it may not be 100% but it is close enough to give you the idea you need it, to enhance the duration of the other two.

Re: caffiene

The aspirin has something to do with inhibiting prostaglandins, but off the top of my head I cant quote the mechanism.

Re: caffiene

Ok, ordered caffiene, bought apirin (300mg pills from asda will these do?) and have got ephidrine on the way. Is this all the right stuff? What would you guys recommend as dosage? I'm not fat, just carrying that extra belly/luv handle flab that i would like to try and get rid of over the next 5 weeks as i'm starting out in the weight training world. I was thinking about taking it in the morning when i get up and about lunch time.

Just take 1/2 an aspirin with each E/C dose.

I'd take one eph, (20-30mg), and one caff (200mg), plus the 150mg of aspirin, 1 dose in the morning and one at lunch sounds good to me.

The 1st week, you will notice some pronounced stimulation I'd imagine, this will subside after a couple of weeks.

Sounds good. I take it that cardio is a must when your on eca? What would be best, running twice a week or just sticking Muay Thai twice a week (just started) or one of each? I dont want to use up too many needed calories.

Re: caffiene

Cardio is a must if you are looking to drop fat, regardless of ECA.

Do you not run to supplement your Thai?

If not try it, it will help a great deal with your ring fitness.

You don't need to run 10 miles, get a heart rate monitor and get your rate up to 80-90% for short bursts (2-4minutes), then back off a bit, then go back up, 10 minutes is all you will need.

I used to do this when I grappled, it was excellent for cardio fitness.

Cheers ma man. I used to run 3 miles 3 times a week but i find it hard to motivate myself for a run. Will try your method, will twice a week do as i'm trying to gain muscle but cut fat too.

Twice per week, plus your Thai should be plenty, I used to do it twice per week after weight training, which made it a bit harder, but after a few weeks the difference on my cardio fitness was amazing.
