Very good point.

Before the workout use dynamic stretches, then after the workout static stretches. It helps remove by-products like lactic acid.

Re: Is there anything to reduce aching?

I wouldnt stretch too much after a work out since youve already damaged muscle fibres in the session, perhaps you could walk or jog for a few mins instead?

I would agree with a comment made earlier, imo, your PWO meal would help. i.e. a mix of high and low gi of carbs, definitely high gi source in your PWO shake i.e. dextrose and also some fats in the meal, even a spoon of flax over your veg would suffice, plenty of water after as well would definitely be beneficial.

Re: Is there anything to reduce aching?

just make sure you dont do your static stretches pre-workout, as it can reduce power output by upto 10%. w/regards to recovery, glutamine and lots of sleep did the trick for me mate!

Re: Is there anything to reduce aching?

Great help again, cheers everyone. Since my last post I bought some Glutamine powder and take the before and after my WO.. and I feel its made a difference. I also have a better warm up for 20 mins before my WO on a treadmill and swinging my arms in time to warm upper body, Thanks.
