supplement stack

Hi just wondering if anyone could post up what in their opinion is a good stack of supps for muscle/size gaining...i appreciate that this is heavily dependant upon diet also...however assuming that the diet is adequate...

what additional supplements would anyone recommend ontop of taking say a creatine based protein combined with a mass gaining supp.

im fed up of reading jargon about new tried and tested in ohio and in somebodys shed in siberia someone has been taking this....

just would like really some info on what would make a good stack from UKM members.

cheers

Re: supplement stack

I would say

Weight Gainer (Meal Replacement and after training)
Glutamine Ethyl Ester (Morning, Pre WO, Post WO, Bedtime)
Creatine Ethyl Ester (afterworkout)
Arginine Ethyl Ester (30-40mins before workout)
ZMA (Before Bed)
Multivitamins (1 a day)
Udo's Oil (teaspoon in everymeal)
Casien (Pro-Peptide before bed and breakfast)

This should be ok.

Re: supplement stack

Oliver, why the need for glutamine ethyl ester?
Creatine and arginine are probably the only 2 supplements where you will notice the 'ethyl ester'...even then, i stick to creatine mono.

TBH also, iv been reading a lot of articles of late on glutamine, and once iv finished this batch of it i wont be buying any more.

Also, pro-peptide is good but very expensive for what it is, i would just order calcium caseinate from myprotein personally.

Re: supplement stack

it doesnt need to be pro-peptide but i do recommend it as its very very good.

You can used normal Glutamine but i think GEE is better.

What i mean is, do you have any research or personal experience to say this is better? In my opinion, from what iv read, glutamine is pretty much glutamine. The 'ethyl esthered' versions of most amino acids are pretty pointless.

So i would there-fore advise this guy not to spend the extra on glutamine EE. But if you have some research to back your advice we can all learn something.

Re: supplement stack

First things first mate - get off of the maximuscle stuff! Wheeeeey overpriced!

If your on a budget then myprotein is the place to go mate. You will get pretty much anything you need on there.

All im using at the moment is:

Whey protein = Boditronics
Creatine mono = Myprotein
Waxy maize starch = Myprotein
Pro-vital = CNP
Amino acids = BodyFortess.

Keep it simple mate, make sure the diet is in order first

Sorry off out at mo so post was short and not very informative! Any questions just ask;)

Re: supplement stack

Yeah, no need to bother with glutamine or weight gainers because it's just a waste of cash. Instead go with what ah24's suggested, can't go wrong with the basics (although I'd opt for CEE over Mono).

Re: supplement stack

cheers for quick reply buddy, will give me a bit of bedtime reading anyway checking out those products...

budget wise am happy to spend on products that seemingly get the all round thumbs up, whils at the same time if something gets just as good results and can be bought cheapily then always a bonus...

was wondering what the Arginine does as recommended by Ollie? not looking for a sciencentific reserach essay just a dunce's wat it does how it helps would be appreciated :o)

cheers
