Valerian, melatonin, Calcium, lobelia, L-Triptophan (sp), Chamomile, Passionflower (acts as a mild MAO inhubitor).

Over training can be a root cause here too.

i have heard that a hot milky drink helps too. it hard sometimes to get relaxed before bd and like you say the mind keeps racing. i havent done meditation but i cant see that doing any harm.

I have read that heating milk will release L-triptaphan (sp) and this might help.

Do not take sleeping pills. Take some benedril, that stuff you can give to babies and it is not adicting. It is still the best antihistimine out there. So if you have alergies you will be sleeping better and waking up better. Zma is real good also. Get some sleepy time tea. Also when I was all jacked up I did some cardio in the day and that seemed to help. Calcium is good but dont take it with the zma, I heard it will cancel the other out.

T-man is on a distinguished road
I really have problems sleeping. It normally takes me a good 4 hours in bed to fall asleep. The last few nights I have still been awake at 7 am and that means I am starving and have really bad hunger pains even though I have a steak right before bed and take a protein shake with me in a flask.

I found some old gaba the other week I forgot I had, took some and had pins and needles all over the worst was on the soles of my feet. It did not help me sleep though.

i am the same as you, takes 4 hours to get to sleep, have been the same since i was born(so i'm told).i've just started working shifts, which means somedays work is starting 6am,some days 2pm,so my sleep is all over the place, some night don't sleep at all.some people suggest a w*nk,as it apparently makes your brain release sleep inducing chemicals.also a warm bath,as your body warms itself up when sleeping, and so warming up your body will quicken the process.i tried that but it didn't work, might do for others tho.it's one of those old wives tales, some r BS,some r good.

Wow guys, no offense. Jerking off helps me alot to fall asleep.
Benidril puts me in a coma.
Listening to something puts me to sleep too as the mind gets distracted.
Bible on cassette works good.
