hi dudes i`m brand new today, i was just wonderring about protien shakes. which ones are good and which ones ain`t so good coz there`s shed loads out there and is it a case of more money equals better protien or do you really need to look at the ingreediants to see if theres added unwanted extra`s i will be greatfull for any help, also is it better to bulk up then cut or cut then build up cheers:lift:

As for bulk or cut, try to stay resonably lean and grow mate rarther than bulk up fat and try to loose the excess. This is my humble opinion again, however the likes of Pscarb, Leeb, Hacksil and a few others may have another take on it for you. With some suggestions too.

I use unflavoured whey from Aviform, and add carbs or what ever to it, as I see fit.

I am also interested in investing in some whey protein, however my budget is severely limited. What would you guys recommend as a good yet cheap supplement I can look into?

Stocky please do a search on this section and you will find this subject has just been debated, you have lots of companys represented on here and each of them will say there product is the best if it turns into a thread pushing your own brand of protein i will delete the thread...

If you get enough samples, you wont have to buy any, ;)

I have no interest in Aviform at all, (although I do reccomend them all the time so you would think they might give me a discount or some thing? :( )

I get the 9kg of whey for £69 I think, or the 20kg sack for about £120, works out pretty cheap per kg.

I do not like the taste of atificial sweetners, so rarely buy pre flavoured whey.

guys don't get me wrong you can post up your favorite proteins that you have gone out and bought i just don't want this thread to be a debate between the sponsors to has the best supplements...
