![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I was under the impression that a level 50ml scoop of protein powder contained an average of approx 30 grammes of the stuff. I've finally pulled my finger out & checked on the fancy electronic scales I bought my little brother for Christmas &, lo & behold, there's only 20 grammes. Therefore, old silly bllx here has been consuming only an additional 220 grammes per day, not the 330 or so I thought. At circa 200lbs bodyweight, I can happily chuck in an extra scoop to each shake now, hopefully yielding some results. Hooray.:beer1: |

Firstly, you dont measure powders in 'ml' lol thats for liquids (milli-litres) Secondly, it should say on the label like each scoop = 28gs protein. So i do 2 scoops - suppose different brands are different? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: More protein! Millilitres are a measure of volume. A scoop is marked 50ml as that is what it will contain if full. Grammes are a measure of mass. Mass can vary from one thing to another. I doubt you would find 50ml of oats weighs the same as 50ml of WPI, hence if a scoop was marked 28g, an explanation would be needed as to what that is 28g of. My protein lacks label info. I arrived at the 30g weight from e-mail correspondence with the supplier. |

Back from school iv always been lead to believe ml is liquid, g's are weight, newtons for mass and force, and volume is cm3 (centermeters cubed) What protein do you use? |

Could be, can't quite remember the e-mail, but pretty sure we were discussing level scoops. Problem being, how heaped is heaped? Whereas 'level' is easy enough to measure. You sure mate? Back from school iv always been lead to believe ml is liquid, g's are weight, newtons for mass and force, and volume is cm3 (centermeters cubed) You are correct, but when liquid's are measured, it is the volume we are measuring. What protein do you use? Whey Consortium |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: More protein! Blimey, this is dragging on a bit. Let's reverse it. 1cm3 of water will take up the same amount of space as 1cm3 of whey. Likewise 1ml of whey, will take up the same amount of space as 1ml of water. What I am trying to convey, in vain it seems, is that whey can be measured in ml & water in cm3, although this not standard pratice. Thank fcuk I'm not a teacher...:frusty: |

Sorry to keep dragging this on, this will be my last post but i really dont see how logically you can weigh something in mililitres?!? Every tub of protein i have got is done in weight..in fact ALL supplement powders are - last time i checked!! So measuring it however you like in ml is just pointless IMO!!! I'll leave it here lol ![]() | |
