![]() | 5-a-Day Fruit and Veg Does five fruit and veg a day supplement bodybuilding or more so of a healthy living benefit? I find consuming five fruit and veg a day difficult, but could you also benefit from the shakes containing these? If it does suplement bodybuilding, then in what sense? Thanks for any upcoming responses, Lee. |

It does make sense as these foods (depending on which ones) have some of the lowest glycemic index of any foods. I find it hard getting that much too but today, I packed one apple, one orange, and one tomato for my lunch along with 2 chicken breasts that I divide all that into 4 meals, during work.

Either that or about 3 oz of meat. Sometimes I will get some tuna and toss in some avacado and eat cellery with it and or a few radishes. I sit in a chair the whole day and dont get around much. I am not that big of an eater. But after work I will grab some beer ![]() So, it would look like this: 1 apple, 1 tomato, 1 orange, 2 chicken breasts, 55 grams protein shake, 12 fish oils at work. After work some beer Home 4 eggs and some cheese and some salad with vinegar and olive oil, or a can of tuna on that salad. Its not a lot of food but it keeps my blood sugar's very stable and I have alot of evergy. I also do toss a cheat day in there where I will pretty much overfeed. If I eat much more than that I will gain weight.

| Administrator | Re: 5-a-Day Fruit and Veg I don't understand why it's difficult .. if you are eating 5x a day then that's just one serving of fruit or veg each with each meal. Personally my morning shake contains 1 apple, 1 banana and 80g frozen berries - that alone gives me 3 servings before it's even 9am! ![]() L

Breakfast, I dont eat that and I know I should, I am usually not hungry at all but do have a big cup of coffee with heavy cream in it, that is pretty calorie dense. I eat a small meal every two hours and a half an hour befor my meals I drink 20oz of water. I do bring alot of vitamins into work too, minerals and a bunch of stuff. I think the body gets used to a certain amount of food and accomidates for that. I do get carried away binging some times. It sometimes is not uncommon after a some drinks and a little bit of weed I would eat more the last meal than the whole day total. These days I will weight a couple of pounds heavier. I am doing a little colon cleanse right now. Its not alot of food but then again I have a sit down job and do alot of sitting behind a computer.

![]() I remember going on a keto diet, after about 6 weeks of good losses it stopped dead. Not to mention I had a funny smell (not good) comming off of me. I added in some carbs slowly and POW weight loss started again. I suspect this is the same rationale that the carb cycler's use. I sit so much I need to get up and walk around the building I am in. It is .79 mile and takes about 13 minutes. 2 to 3 laps a day ought to do it.

Exactly what im supposed to be doing but im struggeling a bit. I was going to buy the latest book with the latest recipes in and stick with it for a couple of weeks then use it 'lightly' One thing it was really good for was making me plan meals! its my biggest problem right now! healthy foods are alot harder to knock up if you have not planned! | |
