Extreme Whey vs Muscletech's Nitrotech

I've been seeing a lot of good reports on Extreme products over the last few months since I have been visiting this site and picking up tips and pointers.

My question is does anyone have any views on Extreme Whey vs Muscletech's Nitrotech for the quality of their respective protien products?

i.e. which in your opinion would you say is of better quality and why?

Hi,

I am using Extreme products at the moment - 10 weeks out, and find them really good.

Why pay an absolute fortune when you can get a high quality product for a great price.

Okay understood, but if the prices were the same which would you run with.

My girlfriend works for Virgin Atlantic and as such is always travelling to the states, which means i can get Muscletech products for about half the cost of what they are on the shelf over here. This means that the nitrotech would cost about the same as extreme.

What would you do in this situation?

In that unique case, then I would go for Muscletech. Ive used Muscletech Nitrotech and it is different from regular whey, but not worth the extra $, since you will be getting it cheap, go for it.

Why not just try both and see what you prefer.

If pushed i would still use Extreme as they are top quality and put alot into the sport over here.

I'm biased in this debate but I have tried Nitrotech as I have with loads of rival companies products, my personal thoughts on Nitrotech are;

1. it caused me bad flatulence which Extreme products don't
2. taste is nowhere near as good as Extreme
3. Amino Acid profile is not as good
4. its vastly overpriced.

Muscletech bang on about research, we have an R+D programme with Heriot Watt Uni in Edinburgh, how many other companies (UK or US) can say this and name the Uni? The research is done on our products, NOT anecdotal evidence linked to 1 specific ingredient in the product like some UK companies quote.

Anyone saying "if I could get Mtech products for the same price as Extreme I'd have Mtech" WITHOUT having tried both products they have fallen for the marketing BS which Mtech do so well, its probably their best attribute.

There is a free sample of Extreme Whey with every July Musclemag, if anyone wants to know anything about Extreme products mail me and I'll answer your questions and tell you why we do things our way.

Then tell me why the research results are taking so long. Where are they?

Right can anyone tell me what exactly is different between nitrotech and regular whey, they do a nice little graph on the back of their tubs stating whey vs nitrotech with nitrotech coming off 5 times better in terms of results.
But reading the back of nitrotech first ingredient is whey concentrate, whey isolates, etc... a little bit of creatine, and by a little bit i think you get 0.35g per serving, anyone found anythin listed on the nitrotech ingredients or in terms of results to support the claims that it is better than whey....Also whilst im bangin on about muscletech, just incase any musletech lovers are offended ive just ordered some creakic from taitshealth and jesus christ its good, tried normal creatine, cell tech, vpx, cell mass etc.. this stuff by far the best so far... anyone else seen results with any of their new gear?

Ivan, one of my staff is using MTech CEE Pro and Gakic and is getting good results off it too.

There is nothing special about Nitrotechs ingredients other than awesome marketing. Look at Nitrotech Night Time its a blend like Extreme Protein or CNP Pro Peptide, Reflex and Optimum have released blends too claiming "new breakthrough", ummmm, only about 6.5 years behind us boys.

Zorro, its an 18 month study, there will be results cropping up along the line but I need to wait until the Uni have released them for public viewing.

I dont know about nitrotech but i have to say that i am a fan of extremes whey powder and i have tried loads of brands.I find that it takes a little longer to mix in a shaker than the likes of reflex all in one or allsports whey but im only talking like 20 seconds so unless your seriously in a rush wont cause any trouble..and when it is mixed properly it tastes just about as good as any especially the banana flavour, also i found it more quenching than the other brands for what reason im not sure but it took the edge of my hunger which i suffer from on a cut.
I never have gotten to obsessed with the science side of things but from what i do know extremes products are as up to date as you could ask for..:lift:

I would imagine he works for a rival company by the tones of his posts in this thread, the 'Decent Protein Sup' thread & in Extremes University research sticky.:rolleye11
