Decent protein sup - UK-Muscle Body Building Community

Yo peeps! Can you let me know of some decent protein supplements because the ones I have at the moment are a bit rank! Ive got some All the whey *orange flavour* left and some Designer protein *vanilla flavour* (pretty much a whole tub) and they are both a bit sickly to taste! Any decent protein supplements that are tasty too! Like the ones I get from the gym protein plus vanilla flavour with 50g of protein per hit mmmmm tastes well nice

What does everyone use then? recommend me some! what about the Instone stuff?

i use the dymatize elite stuff, mainly price and mixability reasons,.....

taste is ok, the berry is a bit sweet, vannila too , and a tad "chemically"......

but i got 4 tubs left. to get thru so i aint changing just yet,...

Pro Peptide thats my choice, bit pricey but really good stuff, I also use Pro Mass as a gainer for brekie and lunch - have the pro pep before bed with egg whites....yum yum!

Yeah Pro peptide is wicked and nice flavour too if only they did it in 5kg tubs I would definately by it! as it is im not paying like £23.99 a week on it though!

if i was bringing home £75k a year i,d be using the CNP stuff too,......

£21 per 908grms is the cheapest i seen ,....

i sometimes treat me self to a tub around xmas,.....

me an Kes share a glass of the brandy and cinnamon flavour by the fire on xmas eve.

I only do one a day before bed so its £23 quid and it lasts 14 servings so two a month - 46 quid

The pro mass lasts a month too cause I do the two scoops with milk which is the same as 4 scoops with water and that is £45 quid so its not that bad....

Then again my 75k a year just about covers it

I use various ones, depending on diet.

Extreme Pro Mass
Elite Protein
Pro Recover
Metrex Protein Plus
PVL Whey Gourment
PVL Whey Cooler

I find the best way to get them down your throat, is to mix them with 500ml water, regardless of how much they tell you, then pour into a half pint glass, down it in one, then pour it again and down it again.

It only takes like 2 - 3 gulps to nail 250ml, and always seems harder if you try to do it with a Pint+ in one go.

Regards to taste, Extreme, PVL and Elite are all pretty ok, but with most proteins you are going to get a nasty after taste / chemical taste.

Im trying BSN True Mass when I start bulking again, Tiny Tom said that it is almost as beautiful as me.

i use cheap ass **** from bulkpowders tates fine and does the job!

and every now and again i get a pro mass or elite whey as a treat!

i know its a gainer, but dont you use n-large aswell paul?

im useing some cheap crap i got from h&b at the moment, £10 sale. tastes like $hit, not that i have tasted $**** before

I used to mate yes.

Changed to Extreme Pro Mass this time around, and going to try BSN True Mass next time.

So far, although i did like the Extreme Pro Mass, I found I had better gains from the Nlarge2.

But, saying that, I didnt gain as much fat from the Extreme Pro Mass, so in a way that was better too.

I second that, tho now i get dymatise, as its so sweet i just get 1 scoop of that and another of unflavoured from bulkpowders, and tastes just rite, and last for months!

End of the day, protein is protein.

Again, its Trial and Error till you find one that works well with you.

Some have the added benifit of Creatine / Glutamine / Extra Aminos / Less Carbs / More Carbs, etc, etc, etc.

Just depends on your goals and what suits you.
