Its like creatine - companies get hold of a product - then theirs is the best creatine out there because of theyre unique delivery system, or theirs is 110% purer than the next brand - its all marketing bullsh1t imo. Same with protien - Sorry Extreme - where you do have a point on the different kinds of protien - a reasonable whey will do the trick. Lets face it - what difference will I notice if I took a designer whey like yours over a bulkpowder whey? Id wager nothing noticable to justify the extra cost. If im being honest with myself - ive never noticed any difference in muscular gain with any different range of protien powders - from the very cheap to the top of the range. The only difference ive noticed is taste and mixability. And a major factor for me a the moment is cost. Bodybilding doesnt have to be expensive. Dorian Yates could only afford cheap egg proten powder in his earlier days. My best mate is 18+ stone - maybe 10% bodyfat, and is the strongest dude I know - and his protien consumption is minimal - maybe 150grms a day. Go figure!

![]() If I found a product that tasted as good then I would prob use it. I think more companies should make their protein in sample sachet's as this would allow people to see if they like the product before they buy a load of it ![]() Thanks for the info ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ironman, all our products are made to have a time release effect, our whey is 2 concentrates and an isolate so digestion speeds are different and by mixing the constituent elements we are able to acheive a better amino acid profile than by using one ingredient which will hit your system at the one time and your system may not have enough time to absorb it all. If you look at articles from the "great" bodybuilders like Arnold and all his rivals they all spoke about mixing their proteins so they would get a full amino acid spectrum, thats another reason we mix our ingredients. Say what you want about our stuff and prices but we are spending sh1tloads on R+D, your bulk suppliers develop nothing new and put zip into bodybuilding. As a former competitor with a Mrs who competes I'm glad i am in a position to put something back into the sport. |

![]() | I think what he means is you pays your money, you take your choice. Cheap bulk unflavoured whey is so much less expensive, especially direct from the manufacturers (ie dairy farms) and so much more readily available now. Id never go back to buying branded protein tubs. I dont want to have to pay for your advertising or putting anything back into bodybuilding or R+D. I just want cheap amino acids to supplement my food intake. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Its fortunate not everyone has your attitude Zorro, would you have got into bodybuilding with no mags to buy, no contests to create stars like arnold who inspire us all to hit the gym or no strongman events thru no funding? We'd all be drinking milk and eating raw eggs if people didn't spend money on R+D to develop new improved formulas and products to help us grow. And you will find all the unflavoured whey suppliers advertise too, which believe it or not you're paying for! |

I also think your products are very reasonably priced. So please dont think I was taking a dig at your products. But I still stand by my point that a reasonable whey will do the trick when supplementing dietry requirements for protien.

![]() | Anyone here use Prolab's whey? Ever since i got intyo BBing, which wasn't that long ago, it's all i've ever taken. I didn't really research into it - it looked ok and sounded ok but that was before i wised up a lil to the world of protein powders and hype. Anyone else use it? This time release protein thing, by mixing up concentrates and isolates that some powders, like Extreme claim, sounds interesting - more hype or the real deal? |
