![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Muscletech have some new products coming soon. Take a quick look: http://www.muscletech.com/PRODUCTS/MAIN/products.shtml - a night time protein (these are bs in my opinion), a weight gainer, and a different whey protein among others. Nice to see that despite being incapable of importing any hydroxycut into our little country for the past six months, they still have sufficient money to create new products for the American market. Nice to see we are high on the priority list again It is about time they came up with some new products though. ETA for the UK .... probably about 2007!

If they didn't spend so much money on freakin advertising then maybe they could drop their outrageous prices a little.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'd actually heard that they were in financial difficulty because they'd been paying for tv commercials in the states (mega bucks!) and not getting any return on it - and that this was why the UK has had no hydroxycut for the last six months (although we keep managing to get hold of some every now and then - I think we're the last store in the UK to have it!). I dont know if there was any truth in that though. I wouldn't have thought so given how big they are, but you never know. It does seem silly to me to advertise on US TV when only 6% of the population train regularly and not all of them take supplements.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | As I've said before, I think their products are good - but no better than most other well known brands and not good enough to justify the price difference.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yeah, I know what you mean mate.....I used to like reading Muscle-Mag, Muscle & Fitness etc, but everytime I pick one up now they're full of 10-page Muscle-Tech adverts. It's annoying when you see headlines on the front like "add 50lbs to your bench in a month" "Get ripped for summer" and when you turn to the page it's just another crappy Cell-Tech or Hydroxycut advert!!!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Exactly - that really gets on my tits. You think its a decent sounding article, then you turn the page and they try to ram some celltech up your ass. The two most advertised brands in the uk - muscletech and maximuscle - now seem to be two of the least popular (at least in terms of reputation). There is such a thing as 'overexposure'.

Saying that, I do get good results with muscle-tech products, but they are just astronomically too expensive. I mean... cell tech is 64quid for a months supply. It nearly works out cheaper to actually do a cycle of AAS. | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I remember that ad. I think I actually bought the magazine for that 'article'. I saw it mentioned on the cover and thought - wow I'd like to see how they plan to add 50lbs to someones bench press in one month. Started reading the 'article' (usual rubbish - train like this, eat like this...), turned the page and what do I get - bobby kennedy trying to violate me with a tub of celltech! 'Add 50lbs to your bench press........ take celltech!' Thanks Mr Kennedy for wasting my £3.50.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What really annoys me is the fact that there products are crap.... Cell-Tech is creatine and a load of dextrose added to it, you could MAKE cell-tech for a fraction of the price. There is nothing revolutionary about their products at all, despite what they might say. As for the others, Hydroxycut well there are cheaper and more effective fat-burners on the market and the same goes for Nitro-ech there are better whey proteins availible. When you fork out bucketloads of ££££'s on Muscle-Tech products you don't pay for high quality supplements you are paying for their ridiculous marketing campaigns and glossy packaging. Unfortunatley Muscle-Tech prey on newbies and beginners to working out....I must admit I was duped into buying a tub of Cell-Tech. When I realised that it wasn't that great, and other people felt the same way I refused to buy anything from them again. Its sad how they can get away with such a huge scam....perhaps there should be some trading standards legislation for supplements.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I agree that supplements should be more strictly regulated - especially when it comes to advertising them. No other industry can get away with the kind of adverts that some supplements do. Before and after pictures really get on my wick. They are either blantantly fake or they have simply taken someone who has let themselves go a bit, taken a bad picture of them looking pasty and miserable in poor light, given them a few weeks to tone up a bit and then taken a good picture of them with nice lighting looking happy with a tan. I haven't tried celltech myself, but I have been told by a lot of people that it is very good. In fact even speaking to someone who works for a rival brand they confessed that they thought their own similar product was far inferior but better value. I've tried hydroxycut and like xenadrine better. I tried nitro tech and thought it tasted a bit chemically, didn't last very long and was not noticeably any different to any other whey protein.

![]() ![]() | cell tech works, simply because its not just creatine, but it has shed loads of dextrose in it too. As other people have said, you can make your own for a fraction of the price. nitro-tech protien powder also works, simply cos they stick some creatine in it, so you can "see" that you are getting bigger. Both are sort of conning people into thinking that they are wonder products when they arnt. My mate whose a body builder mentioned to me a few weeks back that he`s making great gains on nitrotech - he himself didnt realise it had creatine in it which was all the gains were! |
