Ion Exchange Whey - UK-Muscle Body Building Community

Can anyone tell me is Ion exchange whey better than whey concentrate? If so how? And is the extra cost justified? What are the benefits from taking it?

Also could you recommended an Ion whey?

Is LA Muscle LA Whey any good?

CNP Pro Peptide?

Hi Sound Space,

imo Whey concentrate or Whey Isolate is the better quality protein to use for quick absorbtion or Micellar Casein for a slow release, approx 7-8 hours.

I don't rate LA muscle products at all, think their way over-hyped, tried a few of their products, wasn't impressed.

I've just changed over from using CNP Pro-Peptide to Sci-mentor Whey Excel because I really liked the look of this protein and I found Pro-Peptide to be way too expensive as they only sell it in a 908g tub, I was going through 3-4 of these a month!

this sounds like some sort of advertising post. either that or you are getting discount so which is it? you seem to have a lot of knowledge and the first post you make is advertising a link for products. coincidence or what?

Yes i see what you mean! I've been reading on the bodybuilding forums for years, but I've only recently started posting!

I did get a discount off their web site, but so can everyone else, I've been using supplements for around 12 years, so I've gained a fair bit of knowledge in protein powders! Tried lots of brands, Maxi-muscle, LA muscle, San, CNP, Reflex, MuscleTech, iSatori etc

Just found after trying this new brand protein that it worked well for me, so I thought I'd pass on the details if anybody else was interested. No harm done.

We blend 2 concentrates and isolate so there is a time release in absorbing the products (thats why 2 concentrates), personally I think isolate is absorbed to fast and it cannot be picked up in time by the bloodstream to transport it to the muscles so it ends up being oxidised and is lost in your urine, but in a time release formula where only a small amount of isolate is used it wont be wasted.

I know the owner of the company was involved with another "hardcore" supplement company who also had their stuff made by Vydex so no real surprise there, it makes Sci mentor stuff look very expensive when compared to Vydex doesn't it!
