![]() | stack advice First off hi all, ive been round the forum for a while and finally signed up ![]() Ive been training for about a year and before that 3 years (i had a year break). Ive used most supplements before but im looking for some advice on what im using now. My main problem is my bodys lets say to hard for what i can give it. Im not being big headed here but ive got a phenomenal recovery rate and my body just seems to shrug most exercise off without a second look. To get any gains when i trained before i was doing a full body work out to failure every day and yet ive never ached or stiffened up the next morning etc. Im 5ft 6" and weigh 65kg, and my big 4 tend to look like this: Bench- 55kg 3x8 Shoulder- 30kg 3x8 Squat-40kg 3x8 Dead lift- 35kg 3x8 At the min im taking: 30g whey 30g scottish oats 30g fructose Every 3 hours 5gms creatine 2 hours before my workout and before bed, 100g calcium casienate and 100g scottish oats before bed. And ive just added L-glutamine 2hours before my workout and before bed. Is there anything else that could give it a good kick?? Legall only though please. Thanks harry |

You mention that you don't feel sore after working out (which means very little btw) but are you able to increase the weights you're lifting each session? |

![]() | got agree with big.... you need to start relying less on supps (ie isolated whey products). Real magic potions can be found in the kitchen cupboard. Substitute the whey with a tub of quark or boiled/grilled chicken breast (approx. 150-200g) along with say 50-150g wholemeal/basmati rice (amount depending on goal cut/bulk/strength increase etc) and some fresh salad and a piece of fruit. I pick-up fresh chicken from a local butcher each week and boil up 15 or so pieces every other night (and grill some up with oil free seasoning), plus boil up a pan of rice. Hey presto you got easy access to decent clean carbs and some good quality protein for the whole of the next couple of days. If you want to build strength and make progress its got to be fresh meat, fresh veg and fresh fruit bro (.....you wouldn't run a Rolls Royce on paraffin ?). Not out of box, ready meal, 'instantised' supplements (although obviously there can be a benefit when used post work out). Failing all that bollocks,...... you could add x20 pro plus to your shake.... that would give it a kick! "" |

| Gym Addict | Agree with both the above, but imo, doing a full body work out each day is not a good plan. If only because you're intensity will be very low, and because you'll end up spending too long in the gym. Like big said, the aches dont mean very much, write down how much you lift each time and then you can see if you are gaining. |
