Too much Zinc?

I know alot of guys like Zinc and take this for PCT.
I also know that a very high concintration of zinc resides in the prostate, second to the eye.
Zinc is also a aromatase inhibitor too (natural).

But!

Too Much Zinc May Increase
Prostate Cancer Risk

Results of a recent study by researchers at the US National Cancer Institute (NCI) have revealed that men who take too much zinc may be increasing their risk of developing prostate cancer. Dr Michael Leitzmann and colleagues examined surveys filled out by 46,974 male health professionals. Results showed that men who took more than 100 mg of zinc a day had more than twice the risk of advanced prostate cancer, compared with men who did not take supplementary zinc. The recommended daily intake of zinc is 11 mg, however it is thought that at least 10% of men who take supplementary zinc take two-to-three times more than the recommended amount.

I take one a day and sometimes I forget to take it.

My bottle said high potency and it is 50mg.
I decided to bust them in half and take every day but I do forget.
I do think the article has merrit tho, It was posted by Dr. Swale, he is an HRT/TRT Dr.

Doctor told me i was low in zinc.
I used to have little white patches all over my nails as a symptom of it. I even made a thread about it last year. I take 1 every day and my nails are perfect now. I dont know the consequences of low zinc levels, i didnt feel any ilness or lethargy from it but thats an interesting thread.

Nutritional Steps to Healthy Nails
By Corinna Richards

What you eat will reflect on the health of your nails, too.

*Lack of vitamin A and calcium causes dryness and brittleness.
*Lack of protein, folic acid and vitamin C causes hang nails.
*White bands across the nails are caused by protein deficiency.
*A lack of sufficient hydrochloric acid can cause splitting nails.
*Insufficient intake or vitamin B12 can lead to excessive dryness, very rounded and curved ends and darkening of nails.
*Insufficient zinc can cause development of white spots on the nails.
*Cuts and cracks in the nails may indicate a need for more liquids.
*Red skin around your cuticles can be caused by poor metabolism of essential fatty acids.

Ridges can appear either vertically or horizontally. Horizontal ridges called Beau's lines, can result from severe stress. Some of these ridges are genetic -- they're inherited -- and get worse as you age. Vertical lines can indicate poor nutrition, or iron deficiency.

I got some vertical lines myself.
Not bad but that must be stress.

Thanks DB
