Curtace - I personaly throw up if I go near the bodyfortress stuff... the taste alone makes me want to gag.

re: your sickness - Do you get a similar feeling if you drink milk, if so you could be lactose intolerant, or it could be due to the amount of ceasin you are taking, this can give u the S**ts, bloat etc..

here is an extract from our newest mod Hackskii on the subject.....
----------------------------------
The protein in milk, called casein, irritates many people's immune systems. This is the component of milk that stimulates mucus production. Casein is often associated with allergic conditions such as recurrent ear infections in early life, eczema, chronic bronchitis, asthma, and sinus conditions.

You're probably lactose intolorant, therefore you need to be mixing shakes with water or use whey isolate

Or you could try some super lactase enzyme from H&B... that stuff works wonders...

You can always try the other proteins like soy. Some feel that this protein is inferior but soy protein lowers cholerterol and you wont get any gas or bloat on that. Eggs are probably the highest bioavilibity of any protein. Many times I boil up a dozen eggs and just take them into work. You can eat a couple of the yolks and then just go for the whites.

If you are set on the whey protein then you can take something that helps with lactose. It is an enzyme that aids in digestion.

hi mate, i bought some body fortress stuff ages ago coz it was going cheap. Wont be doing that again! Tasted rank, and did all sorts of things to my guts. I personally dont rate any of the Holland and Barrett own brand sports supps (the protoplex is ok if you're skint) they are poor quality IMO and i think there is much better available.

Body Fortress is nasty - try prolab pure whey! Great stuff. Strawberry and vanilla flavours are excellent. Alternatively elite whey offers better value for money and still tastes great. When I first started training I took all the body fortress stuff and I found it really poor.
