[quote=EXTREME]not a plug but our whey uses 2 different concentrates and an isolate so we can get the amino acid profile we wanted.
[quote]

Most whey proteins use a blend of whey concentrate, whey isolate and whey peptides these days.

its more to do with Amino profile and availability a good blended protein MRP/Shake has a better amino profile than a tin of tuna.

the main reason that we use Shakes and MRP's is convenience i work away a fair bit and cannot always eat good clean foods.
when i dieted this yr for the NABBA finals 3 of my daily meals where liquid meals and i don't think my muscle mass or condition suffered as you can see from the avatar picture...

when you eat a protein meal unless you are eating more than 1 protein source you are not going to be taken in a complete amino profile but as long as you use a decent Shake/MRP the amino Profile is complete.

to me their is no right or wrong answer it is all down to personel preferance.

the breakdown of the extreme MRP is:
Calories 290.9
Protein 41.8
Carbohydrates 22.2 (19.1 starch + 3sugars)
Fat 3.6
Sodium Trace

as said above variety is key and although its good to eat whole foods its better to use shakes etc rather than have no variety at all.

because im vegetarian and my protein sources are limited i also choose to use a protein blend istead of straight whey for the wider amino acid profile and i switch between extreme protein, USN pure protein, and CNP
Pro-peptide

however your choice can also be influenced by when you take it. EG i would use the above as a meal replacement, whey isolate straight after training (eg EAS Precision protein) and Casein if i was taking it right before bed or in the night (eg reflex casein)

lucky i have a sponsor for all these different types i use huh!

I couldnt imagine getting my daily intake of protein if i was a vegetarain....A lot of respect for vegetarians cas they make their work that much harder :becky:

Looking at my daily main protein sources...i really couldnt imagine bring veggie.
Only other primary source of protein apart from meat would be nuts and shakes i guess. geez.

Well I am consuming a lot of fish at the moment and eggs. All is going well so far!
Only shakes I have a day are a Pro MR directly after training.
Its not that tough tbh!
