Creatine.. cycled?

Im brand new here... popping my cherry on this very first post.

Coming all the way from Chicago US, hoping you UK lads can help me out.

Been training seriously for about 5 months now :lift: and just wanted to give myself a little extra kick... just started to add 5g of creatine to my post workout shakes and got a few questions.

Should I cycle creatine? How long on? How long off?

Any side effects that come from creatine?

Should I take my 5g of creatine everyday or just on workout days?

Well.. thats all I cant think of for now.

Thanks in advance to any help.

Na, you dont need to cycle creatine. Just put it in your workout drinks as you are mate! ummmmmmm Side effects, I had some when I was taking it before this is ages ago though when I was around 15-16? I was taking it, but not cycling it so I was constantly on creatine and got some serious stomach pains man.
I would have thought just workout days mate, just take your 5g.

Awesome thanks a lot for the fast reply cap, I really appreciate it mate. Just started using it a few days ago and wanted to know a bit more about it before I get too far in using it.

On the tub it will say a loading phase of 3-4 5g doses/day for the first week is necessary. This is not, you will just waste it.
Some people advocate a 5g dose every day but others say only a 5g dose in your postworkout protein shake is necessary. I take it in my PWO shake with about 100g of honey and some R-ALA.
