(all events were 75secs time limit) 1st event. 4 x 4ft tall, 100kg gas cyclinder to be loaded from 10m away, onto a flatbed lorry then a 100kg log clean and press to finish. it was hard, cos the cyclinders were 1/2 full of water, so it sloshed about and made it harder. that and when you got them on the lorry, you had to stand them upright which wasnt easy itself. i did it all in 55secs, the winner was in 46secs. 5th place 2nd event, viking press a motorcycle. (120kg in the hands weight) ive never been that great at shoulder strength, and knew it would be my weakest event. got 11 reps, but the winner was shoulder monster who got 23 reps!!!! i think i was 8th 3rd, truck pull with harness and rope, 25m (bin lorry) ive never trained for it, and never actually done one, so it was very new to me. i started off using just arms to pull, then the arms started to tire and had to use the legs. in hindsight driving with both is obviously better, but in the heat of the moment i didnt :( winner was 24secs, i did 28secs. im pretty sure i was 14th. i think doing it properly wouldhave knocked it down by 1.5-2secs, **** happens. so at the half way point, i was joint 9th with the owrst events out of the way. 4th, car deadlift, a *quoted* 300k in the hands weight (closer to 240ish) well, its bread and butter of training, there was more in the tank but time ran out. i did 25 reps, where the winner mark felix did 33 i was 4th in that one ![]() 5th, hercules hold, stopping 2 4x4s rolling off ramps. starting off, everyone was getting less than2secs, they hadnt set themselves up, alot of people were ripping calouses off there hands, it was a painful event. the proper 'in the hand' weight was 240k per hand, but it was like your shoulders were being pulled from there sockets!! i got 10.1secs, which was good enough for 3rd place, winner was 14 secs last event, railway sleeper flipping, 20m one way, 20m back. no-one finished the event, but most people were close. there were 2 sleepers bolted together which weighed 170k total, but it was awkward cos you couldnt get your fingers underneath properly you were litterally flipping them using your fingertips. i could have got a better distance, but i didnt cos there was no need. i couldnt have placed any better.4th place winner got 2 more flips than i did overall 4th place, first palce was a WSM competitor, 2nd place was UK's strongest man, and 3rd place came 2nd in the UK's. there were alot of BSM people there too, so it was very nice to beat them also was very happy to place where i did, the average weight being about 20-21st. so i gave a bit of weight away, i was 3rd lightest there in a field of 18good day out, theres a few photos on.... http://z9.invisionfree.com/Strength_...opic=5892&st=0 with a link below the 3rd phot to some more, and it was nice for Geoff Capes to congratulate me and say i had good potential!! nice stuff ![]()

Keith, got one on the 30th of this month in Dover, theres a kind of special prize of whoever gets the highest amateur place wins a guest pass into a WSM super series!! which could be kinda cool ![]()
