| Your Friendly neighbourhood pusha! | they look good.....on paper, but many things come into play, u doing it correct form? u using momentum? using free weights or machined? u preforming the exersise properly using full range of motion? all these things are a factor as when i started doing things strictly, weight dropped down, and no offense im abit scepticle if ur natty and lifting all that properly with full range and no momentum...just my imo, but yes on paper they look good!

But at 20 you wont lift as much as you will when you hit mid 30's I think my strength peaked at around 37. But there is no reason that I cant keep my strength aside from injuries. You will notice OGX that the more mature your muscles get you will get stronger.

Me, I have too many injuries, still pretty strong but I dont push it like I used to. That is the downside of age, injuries are more frequent and tend to take longer to heal up. I know a guy that on his 50th birthday did 315 in bench (I forgot how many reps he said he did), this dude is a lawyer too ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I prosume its David your on about Pete? He'll actually be 60 next June, so a real old git. I think his age might be starting to catch up with him now tho in terms of injuries, he has either injured himself in either the build up or at his last 4 comps now, Mexico worlds, injured knee on biuld up and so only did bench comp, Holland europeans, torn lat, Germany worlds, tore both hamstrings (ouch) he was in unbeleivable pain with that one, and lastly europeans this year tore chest/front delt. I know he has big targets for worlds this year. I hope he can train on for a good few more years tho cause he is very insperational to train with up to a comp. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thats only the recent injuries, looking back over his career you can add to that list with, torn crutiate ligaments and couldn't walk for a year, torn pec, torn bicep and many more minor injuries. If you can go through 30 or so years of lifting without many serious injuries I think you have to count yourself as being very lucky. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | good lifts for your age, if your just bodybuilding then the 90 degree squats are ok but not if its for powerlifting. If you can safely and effectivly squat below 90 I would do so, it helps bring in the hams and glutes more. The dumbell shoulder press I strong in comparison to your bench press. |
