![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Gaining 56lbs in 20 weeks. I've always believed that "you don't have to be a scientist to do experiments with your own body". With that in mind following my fat loss experience as outlined in the first article of this series I decided to show what could be done with regard to muscle growth on the UHT program, with a bulking diet and chemical assistance. I think this may prove a little disconcerting to some of our readers, as the "truth" about getting big quickly is not pretty, and although one can minimise the accumulation of bodyfat, some gains of "the bad stuff" must be accepted along the way. In attempting to gain as much lean body mass (MUSCLE!) as quickly as possible I allowed for a pretty huge calorie intake and a fair bit of chub along with the muscle. Those with a little more patience may wish to stay leaner. Right, disclaimers over, prepare for the horror of the "before and after!". ![]() ![]() Larger in all directions as you can see! At the starting point I was around 10% bodyfat, by single point caliper test. I ended the 20 week experiment at 16% bodyfat, using the same single point caliper test. Knowing how much I weighed at the start and end, along with bodyfat percentage at each, allows us to work out the amount of muscle mass gained in 20 weeks. Start = 189lbs bodyweight. 10% fat = 19lbs fat. 189 - 19 = 170lbs of lean body mass. End = 245lbs bodyweight. 16*% fat = 39lbs fat. 245 - 39 = 206lbs of lean body mass. So, over 20 weeks I gained 20lbs of fat and 36lbs of muscle mass. The more aesthetically minded amongst you will no doubt be horrified but for those of you who wish to dramatically change your whole body size in the shortest time frame possible here is an out line of training, supplementation and diet used over the 20 week period. Training and supplementation. First 6 weeks... UHT Phase 2 with very high volume, of ten 10 sets of 10 reps per movement. The purpose of this phase was to increase work capacity and build new vacuoles, and increase mitochondrial and capillary density. During this time loads were not generally increased, but volume went from 3 sets per movement up to 10 sets per movement, and rest times down from 90 seconds to 30 seconds or less on most workouts. Occasioanlly I would drop down to heavier loads just to keep the "feel" of heavier weight in mind and not lose skill but 90% of the time loads were very light and volume very high. Supplements. Methandrostenolone 30mg / day, dosed around training, dropped in week 5. Formestane / phosphatidylserine mix - 1ml every 5 days BCAA 15-30g /day. Week 1,3,5 green tea / ginger / fenugreek / BCAA / ALCAR / ALA mix - 5 -10g + / day. Weeks 2,4,6 Eph / Caff / Theo (Chest-Eze) 4-6 / day, 2 days on 1 day off etc. So basically a nice anabolic environment, very high metabolism, high volume etc. Aims were obviously to add lean mass and drop bodyfat at the same time and this was accomplished with bodyweight actually staying the same during this cycle. Weeks 6-8 PCT - Post cycle therapy. No training at all in this phase - a deload as prescribed by the UHT program.Formestane / phosphatidylserine mix - 1ml every 2 days, sublingual. Trib - thermolife - 6 tabs a day Agnus castus 3200mg a day Zinc - 45mg a day nolva - 20mg / day, 2 10mg doses green tea / ginger / fenugreek / BCAA / ALCAR / ALA mix - 5 -10g + / day Here's the pictures from the end of phase 1. Bodyweight is exactly the same as in the picture at top left of this article, but it's pretty obvious a fair bit of muscle has gone on, with the loss of an equal amount of fat. ![]() ![]() Weeks 8 - 20.Objective on this phase was to gain as much lean body mass as possible, regardless of fat / water gain. Kcals were as high as 24 per pound bodyweight, with protein at 300+g per day and other macronutrients left to fall where they may. UHT Phase 3 with rest pause sets used a lot. Supplements. Creatine monohydrate 20g / day Sustanon 500mg / week Methandrstenolone 20mg / day Stanozolol 20mg / day Formestane / phosphatidylserine mix - 1ml every 5 days BCAA 15-30g /day.Here are the pics from July - weeks 19-20. ![]() ![]() So, a 56lb gain over the whole course, followed by the same PCT as outlined in weeks 6-8. A good example of what can be accomplished with pretty average genetics but a diligent approach to food, supps and ancillaries over a relatively short time frame. |

| aka Jimmy | Re: Gaining 56lbs in 20 weeks. You actually don't look light years bigger at 245lbs than when you started IMO, although without seeing you in person its hard to appreciate the extra 56lbs. Cool thread trhough mate, very interesting.

Surely gaining 36 lbs of actual muscle in 20 weeks is impossible. Thats 1.8 lbs of muscle a week for 20 weeks straight. I know squat about gear but even still that seems impossible to me.
