I think the nitrate poisoning is only in livestock.
I don't think a BB would consume as much milk thistle as cattle do.

Anything in excess is detrimental to health.

Liv52 has been used in India for a very long time just as milk thistle has been used for a very long time in other countries.

It really is a matter of which one you want.
milk thistle is a single herb.
liv 52 is a combination of herbs.

As far as dosages, remember that dosage is based on weight.
150mg could be alot for someone who is 95-125 pounds.
A body builder of 250 pounds will need quite a bit more.
I'm a natural BB but my understanding is that the milk thistle is taken while on a cycle. Once the cycle is over then it is not taken. Now I may be incorrect on that and someone who uses it may be a better source to ask.

If you cycle the milk thistle you will not overdose on it.
So it is really up to you in which one you want to take.

oh right ok.
yeh its used as a liver protectant when cycling, drinking heavy or taking medication that causes excess stress on the liver.
many ppl say they prefer milk thistle over liv.52 but milk thistle like u said is a single herb and liv.52 is a combination of herbs although they dont add the salymarin ingredient in the liv.52.. mayb it clashes with another herb they use (or unless its in there under another name).

LOCUST will become famous soon enough
I question the use of liver protectants at all.

if the liver is under enough stress from gear, why put it under more with liver protectants ??

I don't think liv.52 will put the liver under any stress being a protectant, can't tell you about milk thistle as i don't use it, however i do use liv.52 as it restores the functional efficiency of the liver by protecting the hepatic parenchyma and promoting hepatocellular regeneration. The antiperoxidative activity of Liv.52 prevents the loss of functional integrity of the cell membrane, maintains cytochrome P-450, hastens the recovery period and ensures early restoration of hepatic functions in infective hepatitis. Liv.52 facilitates rapid elimination of acetaldehyde, the toxic intermediate metabolite of alcohol metabolism and ensures protection from alcohol-induced hepatic damage. Liv.52 diminishes the lipotropic activity in chronic alcoholism and prevents fatty infiltration of the liver. In pre-cirrhotic conditions, Liv.52 arrests the progress of the disease and prevents further liver damage. Also, used for Cirrhosis, Malnutrition.
IMO you will not be able to tell if your liver is bad until it's too late, i for 1 will keep using liv.52 esp with orals.
