IMO at 160lbs (unless you're extremely short), you shouldn't be needing steroids yet. Just a lot of good foods and a good training routine.

![]() | Ok sorry im 5'7". Iv been eating oat meal in the mornings. for lunch ill try to eat something grilled and a veggie, i cant always get that due to the nature of where i work. At night i try to eat something grilled again if avaliable with vegitables. If not ill eat tuna fish. All i usually drink is water or milk. Ill take protein shakes usually after a work out but not all the time. I work out 5 days a week. I do or try to do 45 mins of running after each work out session. I also work out at night. In the morning to kinda kick start my day ill run or walk a mile depending on how feel. Im not sure if it helps or not but i do it to try and get me motivated for the day. Im a small frame guy. Id love to be about 155 maybe 160 solid if all possible with some decent size. Im not looking to be the strongest guy in the world but id like to gain some strength. Im really looking to get my body to look healthy, fit, and cut with a little more size. Hope this helps. Last edited by joshsworld23; 04-08-2005 at 12:57 AM. |

Mate, no offence but I don't think you should be thinking about roids. Dunno how long you've been training, but I would say you want 3 years of natural training before considering any chemical assistance. Post up your training split and diet in more detail in the other sections and we'll have a look at it for you. Almost anyone can put on a decent amount of muscle naturally, so try and fulfil your natural potential first of all. I would also say probably best not to do cardio first thing after a workout. I don't work out as often as 5 days a week, your body grows when you're resting not in the gym, remember that. If you're just starting out you will be alright with a 3day split focusing on compound exercises IMO. Welcome to the site, hope you stick around.

![]() ![]() | Here are my thoughts. I am by no means an expert on the juice yet. Far from it actually. The rest of the board can assist you in that but from what I hear and correct me if I a wrong. You are currently 160lbs and have about what you think is 10lbs of fat around your midsection. You have also stated that you want to look a little more solid and have some more strength. I think this is all about your diet. You are trying to lose 10lbs of fat and gain 10lbs of muslce. That would put your towards your goal of looking leaner and stronger. There are other sections of the forum obviously for diet and nutrition but most important no matter what you are trying to do gain weight or lose weight while working out you need to keep your protein high. I think a good number to measure your daily protein intake should be your bodyweight x 2. I am about 210 but my goal is about 230 so I eat enough protein for 230lb person. A lot of protein yes but I am also taking a shake with each meal. If you are trying to lose weight you need watch your carbs. i wouldn't have them too low though because you want your body to stay in an anabolic state (state ideal for building muscle). So make sure you are getting 5-6 meals a day of moderate carbs and high protein. I would think it is mandatory for a shake after you workout. That is the most important time for your muslces to feed on protein. I just don't think you are ready for juice. It might seem like the easy way out but no one ever said this was easy or happens overnight. If that was the case everybody would like great. You get my point. Diet and working out natural at this point needs to be your goal. This goal is most definitley attainable quicker than you may think going the natural route. Sorry if I went on and on, I can get carried away. Last edited by JSM; 04-08-2005 at 01:32 AM. |

![]() ![]() | One more thing for you to think about. If I remember correctly you are 17 right. Not to scare you but read number 3 here this is why you should second thought taking the juice at your young age. Just trying to help! http://www.uk-muscle.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7800 |

![]() ![]() | Yes my fault you did state you were 23. Anyways I would stick to the plan I suggested just for the simple fact that the gains you may think. I just don't think juice is the answer here. Now if you have a few years of good fundamental training and have put on a good base and you want to bulk up some more then maybe juice is something you could think about. Anyways diet and training comes first no matter what path you choose. |
