Post What's stopping you?

Well really it's more like what's stopping me?

There's a big part of me that feels that sometime this year would be appropriate for me to start a cycle - there's another part of me that doesn't ever want to.

Both parts of me are constantly battling and I can't pin down why the part that wants to run a cycle can't overpower, for want of a better phrase, the other side of me.

So just wondered, out of those of you who have not started a cycle yet - what's stopping you?

I am also confused as to why the alpha guy has not yet overpowered the beta fanny! Give it a few weeks for his blood levels to increase and he'll launch an illustrious, watery, acne-ridden blow into the beta fanny's face and you'll feel a sudden compulsion to jab yourself with testy oil...just give it time my boy

Years of media hype and propaganda is probably what's putting you off.

I'd bet most of your non-training friends would freak if you told them you were using steroids, let alone injecting them.

Want more kids and don't want to potentially jepoardise that. Trying to wait for my 40's when natural hormones decline.

That's probably the most unhelpful comment I can think of.

Seriously I'm asking people who have not started why they have not started if they're open to discussing it.

Not looking for any kind of ridicule.

Re: What's stopping you?

Well i cant stick to a constant diet or training plan so its pointless even bothering.

There seems to be a lot of younger lads that dont care though, and are happy to eat crap and go boozing every weekend despite being on. In fact most round my way only go on the gear so they can look "big" on a night out

It's not a jokey thread mate - learn to gauge the mood of the audience.

I thought it was fairly obvious that I'm seriously thinking about this but having difficulty separating the rational thoughts from the irrational gut instincts and am trying to see what others think.

Re: What's stopping you?

Umm the feelig of sitting in my room injecting myself... not so good.
That i feel i have not been 100% dedicated to training.
What am i going to feel like on it?
What will my family aka mum say whenever i return from uni the size of a house will i tell them or not?
And will i feel like i have cheated in some way.
Abcess infection etc and its a big step in life.
My training friends at home will all talk behind my back about it, and be ok to my face but i know for sure they wil all say amoungest themselves that its just because of roids and not training and diet. everyone in th town will say this infact.
And not knowing a source ie trusting people with my money i do not know
Gyno also

Re: What's stopping you?

the reason why i never wanted to do gear was the health implications. now im not saying there arent any. but i thought that as soon as i stuck a needle in me i would have a heart attack or something. health is my number 1 priority in life, as without health you have nothing. saying that we dont know the long term effects of high doses of gear (500mg+) as not used medically etc. so who knows? all i know is right now at my size i am depressed, when i look in the mirror i get depressed. i NEVER wear vests or tight tshirts or anything like that as i just think my body looks terrible. so in my opinion if i have to use gear to get to a stage where i wont feel depressed about my body, then so be it. if i have minor health implications down the way so be it. i have only done 1 cycle so far (which was crap in my opinion), but i will continue to do more and planning my next one to start in july. i will always try to be as sensible as possible in terms of dosages and if i see any bad signs of health like my blood pressure rising i will change things about etc.
you just got to sit down and really think hard if its for you or not. matt you can talk to darren about it alot and im sure it will help/. just take your time, there is no rush

Learn to gauge the mood of the audience? LOL whatever mate, I'll avoid posting in any of your oh so serious threads in future. Best of luck with this hugely important life-changing decision that does not welcome any harmless banter. Hope the irrational voices calm down. I'll try and gauge harder in future

To the guy who said money is the main reason he hasn't started, gear is cheap as chips mate.

I guarentee for your first cycle you will spend 4 times more on food than you will on gear a week.

Re: What's stopping you?

I think what puts people off is the length of time you have to dedicate to it. a 12 week cycle is three months, and with the money you spend on AAS, it's worth doing it properly which would mean lots of eating, sleeping, training, no drinking etc, food etc can be expensive so unless you're certain you can keep it all up for that length of time it's not worth it.

I think if it wasn't so frowned upon to do d'bol only cycles, more people would start on 6 weeks of that, but the 'test is best' education people get on these kinds of sites makes it a whole different matter, you've gone from £20 worth of pills to months of injectables and then there's recovery to worry about, hundreds of pounds in total... I can see why people put it off.
