Re: Steroid question for the science buffs....

Good point about knowing the levels Uriel. Thanks for posting the info and everyone for answering my question. I didn't explain it very well, but it was answered . Cheers!

Fair comment Uriel, at 2.5mg/eod you would probably be within natural ranges all you have to do then is pass the polygraph test.

Re: Steroid question for the science buffs....

I imagine that there are plenty of differences between the sexes in their responses to AAS. As an aside, there is a sex difference in adiponectin ( a protein secreted by adipose involved in all sorts of things from fat gain, energy partitioning to insulin sensitivity, inflammation, bone mineralisation and inhibiting atherosclerosis ) and how adiponectin levels respond to androgen signalling. There are many other subtle, yet fundamental variances between males and femails on a molecular biology level, and I suspect that this will be the case in response to AAS (other than the androgenic characteristics). Quite what the sex differences are all are, who knows. It is a complex area, and there is not a major demand on research into the sex differences, although PCOS research is thowing up some interesting results.

The posts mentioning anavar raised an interesting point for me. There are a number of atypical AAS that exist but are not available in the marketplace eg( 4-Chloro-11-keto-17a-methyl-testosterone ) which have incredibly high anabolic to androgenic ratios, yet for various reasons never made it to a male dominated bodybuilding market. There could be a place for such agents in women, as technically they look like a good match, it is just the commercial practicalities which have been a problem.

That said, there are some caveats to this. The androgenic data on these agents were determined on male subjects, and the data extrapolated to take a guess what would happen in women. This is what has happened with all the other AAS including var, so although it should be generally valid, there could be some anomalies.

Joshua, that is an awesome post. I think you understand what I meant in the original question..... I did mean the fundamental variances between how males and females would react to AAS but not from an androgenic point of view.

Uriel, I took your advice and decided to go early for the blood hormone tests...I will have the results next week. Thanks guys.......
