![]() | draining a lump/or swollen nerve today i stuck a a pin in it and tried to draw but nothing came out as if it was solid!! could this just be maybe where ive nipped a nerve and its swollen ive been taking antibiotics last 2 days |

I think I would head to the docs asap. Sorry that is not much of a diagnosis but you really don't want to get it wrong as if there is an infection as will just get a lot worse. Hope it sorts out soon mate. |

I recommend you go to the er. even if its an abcess. It takes some skill to drain it. and the right tools. You need a scalpel. Iodine, and a painkiller that has a localized effect. And precision with your hand. You are going to place a warm towel for 10 minutes. Inject the area. And incise the head deep enough to break the lining wall of the abcess. Once you do that you want to go about .5 centimeters across to creat an incision wide enough for the puss to spew out. Apply pressure so as much puss comes out. Wipe. repeat. Dab iodine. clean up. bandage |
