![]() | low testosterone symptoms im not really sure what to do/where to start. Bascially I am SURE that my testosterone levels are very low. Im 26. I have ZERO facial hair(quite embarassing). Have a hard time putting on muscle. Years of working out hard 4 times a week gave me a reasonably ripped body, but nothing fantastic, but any letting up on the diet/work out front, and my body becomes 'soft' looking fairly quickly. Even when I am lean, I carry fat in my face (something I read can also be due to low testosterone). Farily weak Jaw line. Skinny skinny wrists. There the more physcial aspects of my concerns. I vistited my GP and laid out all my concerns, but they wouldn't give me a testosterone test. The GP said that because I generally wake up with an erection that my testosterone is fine and that there is nothing wrong with me. The appointment was ages ago, and Id just accepted his 'diagnosis'. However, I've began reading more and more recently, and about the effects low testosterone can have on ones overall life. Its me to a 't'. I have zero 'ambition'. It drives those around me mad. My life istn' very good at the moment, but I cant seem to get off my **** and change it!I've had long stages of depression. That could be linked to my bad skin (having acne at this age is no fun, lol), but still. I find it hard to sleep sometimes. Basically there's endless evidence! What am i to do? What would youb do? The GP here dont seem to care. Ive got a few possible ideas going through mym head: 1/move to another country. 2/ Go to my GP and lie my **** off. Tell him I cant get an errection fullstop. Maybe that will make him test me? 3/administer my own test shots.?... 4/take some sort of online test and give the results to my doc? (assuming that they are low) Help me out guys. I really need to turn my life around, and im sure there is a link. If i lived in America I imagine this would have been sorted years ago and id be living a happier, more successful life :( cheers. Mate sorry to hear your predicament, sounds really crap. But i'll just make a simple suggestion if i may and that is get some good ZMA. This should help threefold. 1) Help promote Test production naturally. 2) Help with your skin problem. 3) Help with your sleep. Its worth a try to see if your mood changes. I would then say its likely that you are correct in thinking its a test problem. |

Go see another GP for a second opinion. The worry you are causing yourself wil only compound and make it seem worse. Tell them you are fatigued and cannot get out of bed in the morning. etc etc That should get you a full blood profile done. |

Go to your Doc, Sub, and demand to see an endocrinologist. If he refuses to refer you, make the point that if you do see one who decides you do need treatment, your Doc will be culpable. If he still won't refer you, ask to see another doc, and if necessary change docs. Alternatively, if you can afford a few hundred pounds, you can identify an endocrinologist and phone for a private appointment. |

You can approach any physician or consultant for a private consultation. And actually, you can contact an NHS consultant directly. When you're asked why, you can complain that your GP won't refer you and ask for a private or NHS consultation. Often a consultant will see you and then continue to treat you on the NHS. | |

It does sound like low test but there are other things that can cause all the symptoms you mention....what is your sex drive like? you have to go back and see a doctor, it realy is the only way to find out for sure. I guess you could try injecting test yourself and see if the symptoms go but I still think you should get some medical advice first |

Ive uploaded a profile pic of me taken about 2 years ago. That's as good as it gets for me. That's me fighting tooth and nail with lots of excercise against what i assume are low test levels!! pic doesn't seem to be up yet tho. Maybe admin must check it first..?... Well, to be honest, my diet at the moment is not good: Porridge for breakfast. Tuna sandwich for lunch. Crisps as a snack. Chilli for dinner? Its not always been like that. I used to be overweight when I was about 19. I then lost alot of weight, which in hindsight, was not done in the correct way. Lots of cardio and very little food. I then began lots of research into diet, and lived on lean protein(mainly chicken and beef), lots of veggies, sweet potatoes, brown rice etc. My brother-in-law was a professional bodybuilder and he helped me with diet. I also lifted weights 4 times per week. the result was my profile pic. I gradually worked out less and my diet became worse because it seemed like id hit my natural limit and, to be honest, it wasn't a world apart from what I look like when i dont work out/eat right (i.e how i look now). Didn't seem worth it. And even if I did start working out properly again, and pushing it even harder, and eating right, id still think there was something wrong. Id still have no hair on my face. Tiny amount of underarm hair. no chest hair. Lack of ambition and direction. Chubby soft face in comparison to my body. |

Sub - I suggest you don't self-administer test (as TRT) unless you actually KNOW you've got low test. Also, the inability to get an erection is a major symptom of low test. It's not generally a symptom that's absent, although you may be the rarest of exceptions. I had low test - it's no joke. It's fu(kin miserable. I get it. But don't presume you're low just because you have a few symptoms. Best thing to do? Lie. Tell the doc you can't bone up. Keep telling him. Tell him you have no libido. Tell him you have no interest in sex. Tell him it's ruining your life and your relationship. He should run bloods for T under those circumstances. If he doesn't, demand it. |

See the problem here is that all of the symptoms you mention, bar none, can be caused by many other ailments/medical issues, not necessarily specifically low test. Hell I have most of the symptoms you mention, and I am on a pile of test ![]() But the doc is failing you regardless. You have went to him with a problem, and a possible solution for him to look into, and it seems he has dismissed you out of hand, not just in respect to your suggested first area of looking, but full stop. Unnacceptable IMO, get another doctor - and keep shaking things up until someone helps you. |

If your GP is refusing to give you the treatment you need (or even testing for what is wrong with you), just ask to speak to the Practice Manager.

Docs are rubbish pal, they know nothing about hormones and AAS usage, I'm currently suffering from diabetic like symptoms during my PCT and have no idea why, went to docs and he tried to prescribe me anti depressants. I think this could be down to low T due to some sort of pituitary problem, Im gonna get my T levels checked at docs and try and get referred to an endo, best bet for the OP would be to change docs and demand that they get your levels checked, just hope it works out for ya good luck
