....on Saturday evening, now my @rse is the size of a watermelon, despite following almost perfect injection protocol, & I seem to have a dose of test 'flu'.

Go to the hospital.

It is not abnormal to have pain after injection. But if there is a drastic increase in size and it is hot to the touch. Go to the freaking hospital and tell them what you did.

hay dont freak the guy out mate-i have had many big humps of injectiing ,it happens but as said if its hot or red and you have a fever go and see the doc and get some antibiotics.

I've been to the docs & got a weeks course of antibiotics. Should also have some 18g pins en route so that I can aspirate if things get worse.

Bit of a fever last night & soaked the bed with sweat, however the redness & swelling had subsided a little this morning.

I'm just left wondering whether to continue with the next jab as planned this coming Saturday. Perhaps I just need to re-assess all the factors when the time comes?

It was 1ml x 250mg of test e - I was expecting a little discomfort, but not this much.

I have jabbed myself hundreds of times and never had a problem.

No it's not normal or common to get an abscess. It can be common to get soreness for various reasons such as hitting a nerve, not pulling the needle out straight, harsh gear etc.

If you think about it, the medical profession use injections all the time with no issues. People with problems from gear get it from dodgy gear like winstrol suspension and/or extreme bad luck, or poor protocol and hygiene.

I think at 4 years old you may be a bit too young for gear though.

Thats good news, just recently i seem to be reading all these stories about jabs gone wrong etc and with it being my first cycle its not want i want to be hearing. The gear i will be getting will be from a reliable source and ill double check it on here b4 i take it. Will have to read through the how to inject sticky, but i will be getting my mate to do it for me.

I'm currently thinking that it was either 'extreme bad luck' or 'harsh gear', to quote BA.

If things are come Saturday I shall do my second jab. If that is ok, then I will continue, if it flares up badly, then I will stick to orals for a 'mini' cycle & try another proper one in the New Year.

The only advice I'll give is to jab the side of thigh, like your pocket area...this way you asre far more in control.....it sounds to me that you had an oil bubble near the skin, probably caused by needle movement, not injecting deep enough.....make sure the pin is all the way in, and give the area a good massage after...
I can never understand why people struggle reaching round to their glutes when quads are just as good and soooooo much easier to control jab from......

There's still a lot of UG test about that was made from a poor batch of powder that had a high carbolic acid content, i had the same symptoms, had to take week off work, damn that was painful.
