bloodwork results out with nolva
hello wise ones,

I have a question please. I have finished pct nearly 2 weeks ago now and will be 3 weeks when i have blood tests done (6 weeks from end of cycle)

I have gone back on nolva this week due to some gyno symptoms(permanently errect) Nolva seems to be doing job and will taper off for next 4-5 days.

Just wondering how much the nolva will affect blood results (increased urea etc) and if i should postpone tests for a week? Or will i know which tests have been affected by nolva?

Any help much appreciated

I would...Clomid kicked my test from its normal 20nmol to 40nmol and that was after being off clomid for 4 weeks

Cheers Woody, Dont think I would like to wait another 4-5 weeks though as want to monitor my recovery. (health as well as hpta)

If I went for tests next week as planned any idea on what may be shown different due to nolva?

I am thinking kidneys/liver may show a little strain as nolva is fairly toxic. and as you say test might be higher although i think clomid is better at boosting test than nolva.

If it's a total waste of time then maybe i will leave alone for a while.

I am not planning any more assistance for another 5 weeks at least so i suppose i have time on my side

I would leave it longer, like 8 weeks post PCT. With any SERM you will notice elevated LH, FSH and Testosterone, Estrodial and maybe others.

The longer you leave it the clearer the picture will be.

As a bodybuilder, your urea and creatinine are going to be whack anyway.

I am nattie and my urea is always high (it is from the breakdown/deamination of protein), and creatine is related to the amount of muscle mass you have, and if you supp with creatine, high again.

(PS my urea has been higher as well, I think it was 11.2 mmol/L last time I had it checked)


I posted this on another site, and other nattie BBers have had the same thing, so it is a NATURAL physiological response to training.

OK so it seems the test won't be too much use at the moment with the serm in my system. I would rather not wait for liver function etc so will get that done next week and if it doesn't cost too much look at hormones also just to see how my body is handling the serm. If too expensive may wait a month for hormones check.

It would probably show an increase in SHBG, potentially higher estrogen too.

Nolva will skew your blood test to show something that is not really going on.
Could increase LH and FSH some, but remember nolva is a anognist and antagonist for estrogen.
It can have some liver tox issues but minor.

Just wait.

Do not forget to taper that.
Estrogen rebounding might have given you the gyno scare................

You are right about the taper as coming of epistane(quite strong steroidal anti-estrogen) was what triggered the first flare up.

I did taper nolva from 40mg 1st week 40mg second week and 20mg thrid week but i think being sensitive to rebound I should perhaps do a couple of days at 10mg say twice in the last week. shouldnt be that necessary due to half life but then any compound seems to have a strong effect on me(hormone related)

I will taper off over next week or 2 then get bloods done when i come back from holiday.

On that note how will mexico handle me taking nolva on holiday. I am sure i read a post from you that stated it's legal to purchase there.

They are over the counter, but where are you going in Mexico?

Some of the stuff is not too good, let me know where you are going so I can get an idea if the stuff will be legit or not.

They got everything there over the counter, clen, viagra, gear, antibiotics, anything....lol
