| It's what you do on the outside that makes you | Re: Any Advice? thought so, dude you say you eat n eat with no weight gains, but that is because you dont eat the right stuff you are lacking carbs and good fats and most definitely protein, which as we know builds musshcles! as for the best shake you asked, i go with ON 100% whey, but thats down to personal choice of flavour and good reviews bulking through diet does not take immediate effect, took me a good month to move off my 11 stone mark and that was intense eating, for me especially stay off the juice as your wasting your money, even if you take the juice now and get a good diet going like i say itll take a good bit of time to get the gains you want, yourll maybe add another 2lbs on the scales but nothing in the mirror theres is no such thing as quick results, if you see any ad saying quick gains, buy this, buy that etc its because they want your money, they dont mention diet or training i recommend going to the 'getting started' threads and posting up a full diet and training table of which we can take it further stay off the juice! |

Have a good old read of the nutrition sections here - in particular there is a thread by wogihao on extreme eating. I'm not saying you need extreme eating but it is well worth a read - effectively the deal is that to put on muscle you need: 1) 1 gram + of protein per pound of your own bodyweight per day - so if you're 9 st 4 you need 130 grams of protein + per day. 2) A calorie excess, i.e more than your body needs per day. This is known as bulking - it basically allows the body, with stimulation from weight training, to get into an anabolic (muscle growing) state. Get as much of your nutrition as possible from solid foods, and supplement it with shakes. You could add oats or maltodextrin to a protein shake to up the calories, and drink it with full fat milk instead of water. Check out myprotein.co.uk for that stuff. If you're not eating the food, no amount of gear is going to grow you muscle if you don't give the body the fuel. You will also find that gear will mess you up if used without caution and knowledge, and as I have read many times on here from seasoned users: the more you use it, the less effective each cycle becomes so your first one is going to be the most effective, so why waste it on a physique with no base of muscle and crap nutrition? Look up pscarb and check his sig - it says it all, backed up nicely by his photos. All the best. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Any Advice? Si. Listen to the advice given here mate. These guys are knowledgeable people that know there sh1t and are looking out for your best interests. Steroids work better when a good foundation has been set ie 12-18 months of hard training along with a good diet. You will honestly be amazed at the natural gains that can be made from this alone. You will probably still take advice else where as I doubt this is what youwant to hear but in all honestly mate do as the guys suggest and you cant go far wrong. As for diet I would suggest Upon waking Protein shake Big bowl of oats or weetabix mid morning (1st work break) Chicken/tuna Pasta/Rice Veg/Salad Lunch time As above mid afternoon Protein shake Fruit Train After training Protein shake with carbs (A mass gainer would suffice) Tea usually what you have spag bol etc etc Before bed 5 Eggs on toast Or protein shake Consume 2-4 litres of h2o daily Now thats easily enough for you to follow and gain mate. No weights or fancy formulas just regular healthy food and plenty of it. Stand back and have a think about why were saying this mate. If it was just a case of jab and grow then the world would be full of bodybuilders. |

Its a long hard slog that takes a hell of a lot of time and dedication and if you cant get the basics right first then you may as well forget the rest. Fail to prepare=Prepare to fail. That saying goes a long way in my book. All the bes twith the gear as I know your gonna go ahead and do it contrary to what everyone is telling you |

| You'll Never Walk Alone. | Re: Any Advice? Steedee... thanks mate, your advice is well taken on board... I have a well defined muscle structure through boxing, my muscles arent big but strong as theyve been used for a different purpose for such a lond time (speed). Will the fact that my body is so used to boxing and devolping speed that it will effect the way it reacts to intense weights and extreme eating? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Any Advice? Seriously mate if you follow as suggested you WILL gain weight. Train hard 3 times per week using as many compound exercises as possible and allow atleast a day between each training session (if poss) to allow for maximum recouperation and growth. It works trust me. ;) |

Think of it like this....... Your foundations are diet and sleep. Your house is your training. Your furnature is your supplements. Your pictures and ornaments are your steroids. Now you would have to be a world class tw@t to go down to Ikea and buy some pretty little candle holders and some fcuking light feature that changes colour before your foundations have even been built! Go and do some long searching on diet and training first then apply that mate. | |
