Insulin

Right i have started doing some research into insulin. Not thinking of doing it for a long while yet, just want to get some info together.

I have read that there are basically three ways of using it, the one i found most appealing was when you inject little amounts after every meal,

What methods have people used on here ?

but was also thinkin that if i do decided to do it, it would be my first time so maybe just use it with my post work out shake.

I am planning on using it with maybe a gram of test only a week, i have heard that people also a fat burner with this, would any one be able to recomend ?

Also i have read that it will make you diabetic even if used once, is this true ?

Another question would my diet have to be higher in protein than carbs ?,


As i have said before i am a long way off doing insulin and just would like as much info from actual people on the board who have first hand experience,

ok read the thread now every informative, as i can see from the thread lots of research has to be done even before i think of making any sort of decision.

would the post work out injections 4 times a week be the best ?

Also i take it that you would haveb to train in the day time to do postwork out method ?, this is due to the fact i train at 8.00 pm and means i would have to go bed at 2.00am!!

this could be a big factor in me deciding not to take insulin as i can only train late,

would taking insulin 2 x a week be effective, say weekend ?

oh yeah and i will stress again just getting some info

You have to experment for yourself to find what you like best, some do every meal but thats alot of shots, some do 3 x a day, others 2 x others just one shot. Some do pre training others post..

some use humalog, otheres R and some use mixes... some use glucophage...

for someone who has never used insulin it is best to use the fast acting type like Humolog after training start at 4iu's then increase as you see fit.

pauls advice on first time insuline use is spot on i wish i had that when i first started experimenting about 5 years ago.
to give you an exampel i took advice from a mr universe at the time and he went with 10 iu of humalog r after trainning and 2 meal replace ment sachets and eat a high carb and protien meal 1 hour later .
well i soon learnt that the timming is critical and hypoed many times until i started using the correct amount of glucoes powder per iu of insuline with a protien drink imediatly after trainning and a large clean carb protien meal about an hour later and never suffered.
as paul has said start off low ,for the record i have gone as high as 20 in one hit , 3 times a day you cannot consume enough food to cover the efects learn from my stupidity i stick to 10 after trainning and have never had a bad efect in 3years now ,im only being honest and hope ive not ****ed any one off by sharing , but trust me its not nice being surounded by parameics with a line in your arm bringing you back from the dead take pauls advice ,paul i hope ive not over steped the line by sharing this but these guys need to no just how powerfull this stuff can be if miss used.

Nah adrain I think that is just...if people didn't share the bad stuff then guys wouldn't know how bad it can be.

Personally I do 10iu's PWO (with GH), I built that up from 4iu's gradually over 2months. I use WMS and a little whey with the jab and then a decent carb/protein meal 45mins later. I also keep a couple of bananas handy too incase I need them.

Me i would start of low (like 4iu slin) and monitor whats going on, then work up slowly (1iu per day). when your not feeling the extra benifit from upping the dose then have 2 shots per day, then 3 shots.

Dont go over 20iu in one shot of somthing fast like humalog I cant figure out besides IV infusion how you would get enough glucose into your system to get out of the hole with that.

With the lower doses you can get away with useing stuff like protiens and slower energy sources in your recover drink but when you reach a certain point your bodys not going to play ball and your not going to have enough avalible energy for the amount of slin your shooting thats why most people use glucose or dectrose in the post shot drink. The only guy I know of that derived all his energy from protien during his slin injections was katsumi kitamura and he died during his prep some years ago.....

IMO the PWO shot especially with GH are all that are needed, no need for multiple slin shots per day, I reckon anyway.

hey craig, im going to shoot insulin for the first time tonight after i train, going to take 5iu insulin and 5iu growth, iv got a shake made up already for it containing 60gprotein and 60g cornflour with 10g of creatine and glutamine, just need to add water and im ready to go,

PWO:

90g WMS = 80g of carbs
45g Dynamatize Elite whey = 33g protein, 4 grams carbs
5g Glutamine

Meal is 200g Chicken, 200g potatoe = 46g carbs and 52 grams of carbs.

I also do an egg/oat/whey shake an hour after that (pre bed)

thanks for the info mate, so you cant just use powderd oats in the first shake has to be something like wms?

No mate it needs to be fast acting carbs, get some dextrose or WMS from bulk powders its as cheap as.....that said I know people who just use banana's and have a shake/food later on....but thats after they know the effect of slin on their bodies. I'd stick to WMS or dextrose until you know more about the signs of hypo etc. Not worth fcukin about dude.
