I would choose Clomid over Nolvadex any day...

As long as you gain 2lbs a week your eating enough...if you are not then eat more simple. Ooo and get the tape measure out and measure proportions...you want the weight to be going to the right places...initially you probably gain whatever your diet...this is due to Glycogen retention in your muscles (maybe 5-6lbs)

3000 cals a day will put you 500cal over your basal so you probably are going to need more as 500cal is will not put you in an optimal anabolic situation...maybe gor for 3,500 to start and see how that goes.

Is this in relationship to the 15lb he wants to gain or a rule of thumb?

Are you suggesting this is gear related? tbol and var? if so what about sub Q water? if it isnt, then 1g of dietry carbs will attract 2.7g of water

But that gives you 1lb of weight gain a week, not your 2 you initially stated?

I appreciate your trying to help but im not sure where all that has come from and whether you read the posts before about use of gear?

Well if he gains 2lbs a week then that is around 12lbs...not all this will be lean mass and he will loose some...so he may get 5lbs of lean mass out of the cycle. I think his calories are probably very low before the cycle so there will probably be a Glycogen rebound effect which as said will be 5-6lbs taking into account muscle and liver, there also may be a bit of water, but not much due to tbol anavar's low estrogenic effect.

Now i have heard from various people that tbol can raise your stored glycogen and on a personal level i have observed quick mass build in the first few weeks which does not seem to be fat and also leaves my muscles looking pumped and full...these gains soon disappear once i cease tbol, so this would suggest glycogen in my eyes.

I worked out basal by x his weight by 15...it is usually 11 but i like to add more on to take into account day to day activities.
