There are a number of causative factors, though yes, stress and anxiety can go hand in hand.

can be,and you may not even be aware you are stressed.

I attend similar situations on a daily basis, people think they are having a heart attack. It's normally psycological and becomes vicious circle, the more you become aware of the problem the worse you feel.

Symptoms include chest pain(central crushing),pins and needles to the extremities,dizziness/lighthead,hyperventilation,nausea,sweating.

Generally the best cure is finding the trigger and learning how to relax and control the symptoms - problems at home/relationships etc. are common. As has been stated, stimulants and rec drugs are also a significant factor.

If it does persist a Gp may prescribe antidepressants or betablockers, however this should be a last resort.

Re: chest pains?!

Usually breathing exercises can do a whole hell of a lot to reduce stress, lower blood pressure and help you relax. Usually 4 seconds in through your nose, with a 4 second pause, then a 4 second exhale through your mouth, you can make a moaning sound too.
I know it sounds crazy but breathing can change things a lot.
They have blood pressure machines that they use noise and monitor your breathing and tell you when to breathe and let it out. After 2 weeks you will permanently lower your blood pressure providing you keep doing the exercises for maintenance.
One side effect is people tend to fall asleep….lol

Usually in anxiety the breathing is more like panting, this tends to make things worse.

A normal respiratory rate is between 12-16 a minute.

When hyperventilating, the most obvious symptom of anxiety, this rate increases by 2-3 times. The reason the symptoms arise is predominantly due to this rapid breathing,it causes an imbalance within your blood gasses as you are taking in too much O2 and not enough CO2.

The breathing mechanism works on impurities and as Scott has stated, get your breathing under control and symptoms quickly subside.Breathing into a paper bag really does work as you are then forced to breath in more CO2.

dizziness/lighthead,nausea,sweating.
i'v had that alot, all at the same time. just thought i was comin down with something. which i didnt.

When i was 16 i went through about 2 months with panic attacks. sometimes 2 a day.
now that was scary. its almost like being trapped inside yourself.

Hack, maybe i should try that breathing thing.

Re: chest pains?!

i had an ectopic heartbeat for about 5 years, it came on for no reason, before i was doing roids, i cut out beer , stopped smoking ,stopped drinking coffee , was still there, eventually had to go see a consultant cardiologist. He told me to live with it unless there were no pains, sweating , dizziness or nausea ,he wasnt going to treat it with drugs,my ectopic heartbeat, were a series of weak beats , then massive thuds in the chest.it was skipping beats. i was 30. when i got to 34 i started smoking again and drinking(not heavy) at 39 i started my first cycle, the ectopic beats went about 8 yrs ago, no reason, i think a lot of this is physcosomatic, you can bring it on with worry, but you did right getting it checked out.

Re: chest pains?!

During my dabble with any supplements I used an aromatase inhibitor(6 Bromo)

About 2 weeks after starting, started getting a feeling of rapid heartbeats and my heart started skipping a beat, then beating twice as hard on next beat. Bit freaky and i assumed it was the supps.

Get it checked at the docs although mine was no help. I would say though that anxiety caused mine about taking supps. I had same on first oral cycle (epistane) but none on second cycle (Hdrol) so guess it was just me panicking just like i do about gyno:crazy:
