weight like a yo-yo!

Hi Everyone,

I'm running a cycle of 400mg test enanth, 200mg deca and 100mg test prop each week.

At the start of my cycle 4 weeks back I was around 80kg. Last night at the gym I checked myself and i was 86kg. Just 2 days before I was 82kg, down from 85kg.
My weight seems to keep swinging between 85kg and 82kg. Thats like a half a stone shift within 48 hours! I train every second day you see.

Now I can only think it may be changes in water retention as a litre of water weights a kilogram but I try to keep well hydrated.

I take 2 to 3 protein shakes a day, consume plenty of meats for protein and try to eat a good portion of greens and fruit a day. I also try to eat every 4 hours or so.

Does anyone else experience changes like this?
Any advice?

Thanks

Re: weight like a yo-yo!

I think your diet might be off mate. Post up what you eat? Also your training routine as you might be over training.
You should not leave it more than 2-3 hours between meals because your body will go in to a catalbolic state(think thats the name) and it will start feeding of muscles.

Also you want to be consuming Carbs and Good fats too. I am currently eating 6-8 meals a day at around 3000-3500 calories in my bulking phase.

But post up your diet mate

Re: weight like a yo-yo!

Mine can change by up to 4lbs during the day mate.

It depends on when you weigh, what youve eaten, what youve drunk, if youve had a crap and so on.

Best bet to monitor progress is to weigh the same time on the same day under the same conditions each week.

Or better still, go by the mirror

When I high carb my weight fluctuates drastically, high fat it pretty much stays the same.

Re: weight like a yo-yo!

Dont a single Carb hold 2 part water 1 part fat or something like that ? So if a diet was high in carb and water one day wouldnt that relate to the increase , then an off day with lower carbs water etc would see the decrease in weight ? Dont even know if thats right , this is one for Hackski .

I thought you were advised not to bulk until you had finished losing weight.....

as for the op... does sound diet related but I'm probably not the best person to advise on that with regards to aas....

Re: weight like a yo-yo!

My diet is pretty varied but an example would be:

breakfast - Porridge, protein shake, creatine + zinc
Lunch - Chicken tikka bagette, snack bar, Ribena
Tea - Chicken and pasta, peaches, pint of milk

In between the day I have protein shakes. Usually 3 a day. If I go to the gym I'll have one before the workout and one post work out.
I usually take some cheese with me to work. Babybell. I eat them during the morning and after lunch. Other days I'll have a tin of tuna, lettuce, peppers and cucumber.
I like to eat chineese food too. I know its not good for lean gains but its full of meats and quick.
Lately I've been having a couple of eggs a day too.

Well I'll keep trying and see how things go.
One period I'm concerned about is at night. I will usually try and have some meat before bed time so my body isnt deprived of protein for a few hours.

Re: weight like a yo-yo!

by some scales and weigh yourself at the same time of the day and week. This should give you a better indication

I always weigh myself on a sat morning before breakfast.

I spoke to a lot of people about this for a lot of hours. A lot said no - like you said wait until you loose more weight then bulk. A lot of others said bulk while your big then cut and I will look great!
I do thank every one for their advice though wether to not do it or do it

Its something I needed to do I think. Eating good healthy carbs for a few months then cutting I think will personaly do me the world of wonders. Will soon see! If in 4 months time im like 30 stone of pure lard I will know it went wrong!!!!

Re: weight like a yo-yo!

fair play mate.... been away on the road for a week so havent managed to catch up on everything....

I'm static at the moment... neither up or down...

back to the O/P again...

at night, cottage cheese is great... if you can't stand the taste of natural then try mixing in a scoop of your favourite flavour protein powder. If you don't like the texture, just shove it in a blender.... I do this with both cottage cheese and natural yoghurt... love them both...

You dont eat no where near enough. You'l be lucky if your consuming 3000cals daily and for a bulk thats not enough. Bump your cals upto 4000 and see how you go on from that. Eat every two hours. If you cant do this get yourself a quality mass gainer otherwise your wasting the money on the gear.

You will get a more exact reading this way. Weight can fluctuate from day to day.
