why do gains stop on cycle after x amount of time

I have read several posts about people seeing gains stop after x amount of weeks and then needing to change things up etc, i have a question about this. If you took a man and put him on testostrone alone that was 2 times higher than that of the top end of the scale(i.e. got his levels up to 2000 ng/dl) and he had diet and training sorted(eat above mantaince and changed up training/increase load etc etc) what would make him stop growing? is it his hormones can support more tissue? receptor burn out?(does that even exsist?) its just i see lots of posts and see people increasing doses to higher levels cycle after cycle and yet they dont have the size u would have thought they would have to justify does like that(not true for everyone of course) any opinons most welcome

Re: why do gains stop on cycle after x amount of time

it can be put down to a few factors one would be receptor saturation the other would be impatience in my opinion most is down to the latter, most believe that more is better and if you used 500mg of Sus250 on your last course and gained 7lbs of muscle then if you used 1g on the next course then you would gained 14lbs.....this is just not true....

good points mate, I totally agree, somtimes people forget that steroids are they to help create that extra anabolic envrioment to support growth but the diet and training are the keys which actually kick start it all off etc.

Growing stops because eventually your increased calorie consumption becomes maintenance... so you need to constantly increase calories.

I tend to agree with this. I think too that alot of people start a cycle eating properly and as the weeks go past they slip with diet.

Though I for one seem to be in this group as the first few weeks of any course I do I seem to grow well then I seem to halt completley......................
