![]() | Quality of life Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this, it's not your usual I want to get big. My dad was diagnosed with diabetes a few years back and for the last 2 or 3 years has been on some medication to lower his cholestrol. But he has found that over the last year or so that his body is withereing away. Reports on the net seem to indicate it's known to almost destroy arms and legs muscle and he's finding climbing ladders and doing what is normally a rather physical job for a man on his way to 60 is becoming harder and harder and feeling his age. Now he is planning to stop the product. ANd I have said I'll order some Tribulas and ZMA supplements online for him untill he's spoken to his doctor about perhaps a steroid cream or inejctions. Now I know the cream probably are a waste of money for bodybuilders but for a man of his age looking for a little lift they must be alright hey?? Otherwise 100mg/week or so of test each week should be ideal? cycle it or such low dose not needed? My concerns are the diabetes and the effect of introducting a steroid? Anyone got any thoughts on this. |

Yeah my dad is first going to the doctor to ask about it. My mother has done the research on the medication regarding hence my dad stopped the supplement. Things is these doctors want the cholestrol down and as long as that's going down they happy. Plus that they get their kickbacks on what they prescribe. He's also doing the atkins diet and no meds have had the same results as the diet has had on his cholestrol. Not trying to bulk my dad up, just regrain muscle lost and then ideally naturally keep body fit. Though he is getting on now but has gone from man looking young for his age to a guy slightly older in a few years. |

Hi Tainted, just questioning the Atkins diet, not sure this is the best route for a diabetic,a low gi diet would probably be better as slow to medium release carbs are gonna be needed to keep blood sugars at a steady and safe level.Probably make him feel more energetic as well.
